Just logged in after 10-years hiatus a few days ago. Windia or aurora now is so dead. Not sure even how to play MS now. I quitted a long time ago cause MS is a useless game without players. For me MS Die along with the FM removal. FM was the only last place you really meet people left in game. I AM OLD OLD now cause i play MS since the beginning. MS is still probably one of my best MMO games I ever played, Not worth playing without a community in game. Thrones of Liberty launches in a few days. I know I am gona try that. Stop living in the past move forward.

Modern maple is so trash, before it was about adventure and bossing was the worst aspect of the game.. now they destroyed adventure and focused fully on their weakest point 😂

I've been on and off private servers for the last 12-15 years. Odin, Local, Sydney, Fluffy, Extalia, Luna, Ellinia, Aries, Khaini, Windia, Kastia, Swordie, Aurora, Amherst, Ristonia and Eluna. I've played different rebrands and changes from the same devs, different progression ideas, different versions of the game from Oldschool to Up-to-date, and the one singular thing that comes back to bite Nexon in the ass is the same thing: End-game players are the one's funding the game/server. You fuck them over, you fuck over your entire cash funnel. If you can't engage new players, the servers die within 3-4 months because the market is under a terrible stranglehold by those few end-game players that stayed. The few things they could change that would revive the interactive worlds, are quite literally server-sided values. There's no major patches that need to be made, nothing special regarding .wz file editing, just literally a few changes to the server-side source code that the game sends and receives instructions from, and it would be fixed. Because NexonNA are so inept at understanding their position and changes that could fix the game, that it just baffles me that I've seen better changes made by a bunch of teenagers using stolen sourcecode... Like, here's a list of things I've seen and how players worked with them: Tradeable low-mid tier cubes: Boss mules became super relevant, and newer players had a reliable source of cubes to power themselves up, or make a quick couple of mils for enhancing. Tradeable Nodestones: Literally created a massive mesos dump for early game to the point that players farmed MORE to buy nodes, and end-game players increased funds for, you guessed it, enhancing. All items up to Abso tradeable, Abso psok count to 5, and Clean Arcane Equips tradeable ONCE: End-game was attainable for everyone, classes didn't have such a hard stuck meta until Grandis viable, and more people risk tapping creating a massive mesos dump. Totems: A few servers elected to remove totems, but buff respawn times by roughly 20-60% (some servers were above 60%), which created a healthy farming feel. The funny thing? pserver sources are typically in fucking JAVA... JAVA HANDLES THIS BETTER THAN NEXON CAN WITHOUT EMULATING THE SOURCE???? Come the fuck on. Access to all cubes, not including the super-powerful ones like Violet, Equality and Unicubes, accessible with mesos AND NX, creating a massive f2p wave, and whales still dumping stupid money into the game. No expiry on cubes keeps players buying. A healthy system allows for more entry-level spenders to get accustomed to spending here and there. FOMO spending becomes an issue because people will TRY and convince themselves not to spend, which ends up working for a certain percent of players, and you eventually lose that customer permanently. It's scummy, but Nexon is a business and publicly traded company. Businesses need to make money, and investors need to know you're making a profit. Nexon has the ability to create a massive mesos sink, which in turn creates a wave of players farming, which then creates the loop and brings in numerous players once again, but they choose not to. I can only assume that if they make the environment too friendly, then we'll see another wave of players leaving their local servers and coming to GMS, which will result in call-outs for GMS to have action taken against it to prevent them from "having it too good". Look at the reboot situation in KMS and how many Koreans flooded NABoot because of it. If their entry into the server is so horrifically bad, how do they expect to turn a profit unless they begin to make some seriously bad decisions like these toolbags that ran pservers? At this point, I'm just convinced that management are scared their portfolio will be hit, causing them to lose out on bonus' or other job prospects in the future, so they're struggling to strangle the game for all it's worth before it implodes.

Hoping for some people to make crazy servers on Maplestory Worlds that does incentivize co-op play and trading, grouping ect ect. It's the final hope for the game gerne (for me atleast)

Taking a break is fine. Take like 2months off. It will do you wonders! You're probably just feeling burnt out. Overtime, things will get better, but right now, we need to wait for Inkwell and Co. to do their thing.

i'm so sorry for the awful experience in reg and about all of the annoying folks who are being hateful or leaving spiteful comments; i just want to say that that i've enjoyed your videos a lot over the years and i'm hopeful that they'll actually address these issues in the upcoming months rather than continuing to sweep them under the rug. even as a mainly reboot player, i've played reg a bit before and ended up quitting reg for reboot. reg has very, very severe quality of life issues especially around progression with cubing, and i find it admirable you were able to stick to it in spite of those issues for so long-- i know i couldn't, and my friends who i've tried to introduce to maple couldn't either, except they didn't go to reboot--they just left. a lot of reboot players complain about how we don't have legendary fams, or the qol for fams. realistically, though, the progression is so bad in reg the average player will probably quit before seeing a legendary fam. we complain about not having bpots and yet it is one of the biggest pain points in reg to the point where people often make multiple accounts, running dailies and weeklies just to be able to get a few measly event cubes on gear that they can't even equip until they've finalized/settled on it. like, yes, reboot has problems--the pitched waiting room is absolutely atrocious and all that--but interactive is hemorrhaging players due to the issues it has that desperately, DESPERATELY need to be addressed. for reference, i'm currently pure solo prog in reboot. i go out of my way to make the game more challenging for myself to the point where i am actively griefing my own progression by months and months, and yet i got so, SO much further in the same time that i spent in reboot than i did trying to play reg free to play because of how near-impossible it is for new players to get a foothold. its just so frustrating to me because i watch a lot of reboot streamers and a lot of them talk about reg as if its this absolutely free server where you just get handed pitched and eternals like they're candy--as if every player is on the same level as the most endgame players. it's just not like that.

Played maple for 12 years almost 6k hours in it just on steam. I've been playing ff14 since they announced the meso changes in kms and then went radio silent for months for us. Fuck nexon all they care about is maximizing the money they make off us. Reboot worlds were a barrier to that for them. Hope you find other games you like ❤️

If Nexon actually cared about keeping interactive servers alive, we should have been seeing immediate changes instead of waiting even longer. It is already bad enough that the world merge will not be for another year, but this population hemorrhaging is only making it worse. Lately more accounts selling frenzy service have been getting banned and while most have been account sharing or botting, any remnant of an economy (Aroura) has been falling apart. We cannot afford to wait for another 2 months for the new totem which we don't even know how easily available it will be, otherwise interactive servers will be beyond repair. We also need cubes to actually be tradable through the Auction House and get the magic wand if Nexon is so against players selling services. Nexon doesn't like it and players do not want to risk getting their items stolen because they could not get more cubes. For special cubes like equality and violet cubes, why is it limited to 5 per account? Do they not want more money? That backwards logic makes no sense and no amount of "economy and market" reasons can ever justify that.
