Excellent content! I have a query and wanted to get your advice on how to develop my ear to play and switch chords (notes are clearer unlike chords) . Love from India.

Thanks so much Sungmin. That was super-helpful and really very well-taught! (Now I’m going to see if you’ve got something on those pesky key signatures which have been my downfall)

If you really want to do percussion on the body of a classical guitar, get a flamenco guitar. They are built for it.

Ok I’m just beginning the episode, by the first 48 seconds I assume this is going to solve my problem (I can read TAB but sheet music confuses me so much but I really wanna be able to read / play real songs..!!) so I’ll edit if it really did help but I won’t if it didn’t help.

That's the best lesson, really. All the other ones I watched just assume you actually already know something about music notation, that you can never start from level 0. Finally, omfg. Was it that difficult to just explain the notes while beating a pen? Why didn't anyone else manage to do it???

What videos are you watching? Because I already KNOW a lot about sheet music and all the names of notes and stuff I need someone to teach me how to read sheet music for guitar in a way I can understand 😭😭

Finally, I wish I could pay for it but hope subbing is enough payment! Talk about sheet music for Dummies you really broke it down for the common man who doesn't already know it.

Hey man nice vids, wondering do you find difficult to switch between your classical and acoustic guitars for different songs? I only have acoustic atm but Playing both styles on it. Wondering if i should buy a classical or will it be tough to get used to wider fret board etc.

I have been reading music since 1984. I find it very essential to be able to read music. First time I picked up a guitar was in 1974. For the first 10 years I didn’t hardly learn anything could not play by ear therefore I almost quit. But I had learned how to finger pic prior to reading music. But I was just not getting anywhere. I’ve been reading music now for over 40 years. I love it. I can play anything I want or that they have in style guitar music. I am on my Solo instrumental guitarist today and love it. I wouldn’t take nothing for my hobby. My advice to new guitar players is learn how to read music you’ll go a long way and quit taking shortcuts great video young man you have my total blessing there’s nothing like reading music. Have a great day.👍👍🎼🎵🎶🎸👍👍☮️

Y'all complaining about the tab as if y'all can play by tabs alone. You need to hear it played. Either way, he explains it, which is ten times better than a tab. Easily the best tutorial I've seen.

I think a better question would be: do you want to fingerpick, or strum, or noodle around and improvise? Which do you see yourself doing the most of? Because if you're a fingerpicker, with the wider fretboard classicals are the choice to make.
