Reminds me of when i was in the US navy my ship USS FOX CG-33 visted Juneau, AK June of 1992 i got drunk and started to climb mt. juneau from a stream on the far side of the mountain i climbed the big rocks like stairs at 1st as it got steeper i climbed the trees like a ladder then i was shocked to find 2/3 of the way up NO MORE TREES!!!! I had to grab long grass as some spots the incline was very very steep with drops of at least 200 feet i climbed up toward the peak near on old satellite not sure if it's still there but as i crossed the totally frozen top something i noticed which is no longer the case. All the snow was very very hard ice. I passed the destroyed buildings slid down the ice part way being so tired and saw the trail down thank god! When i got to the bottom some old guy laughed and asked me got drunk and climbed the mountain? Yes sir! How did you know? He said just look at your jeans! Totally ripped and ruined my jeans with mud, dirt they were brand new too! It was a real adventure but one i'd NEVER try again as i realize now one slip and i would of been a ready warm meal waiting to be eaten if i had slipped. Thanks for the good memories! thanks for the video! Sorry you missed a really great view!

I got the Mammut Kento Tour High GTX about 6 months ago. Yet to test them through winter but so far....... they took a good few hikes to properly break in. I used them on the UK Y3P (25 miles) and they were unnoticeable, so perfect. Really grippy, great support and I felt like I could do another 25 miles. However, my laces snapped after 2 months, and now my vibram sole is already starting to wear thin in places.

@MarissaCollison yeah they sent me 2 spare pairs of laces and they have offered to replace the soles as the boots are still under warranty. Just means going 4 weeks without my bright orange boots lol

I never understood why they stopped using outdry material. The BMG was 100% waterproof and a great bag. This one is a downgrade

Eat raw garlic cloves before going out. Always works for me. If you don't want to smell like garlic, try bug spray made with picaridin, which is a synthesized molecule mimicking piperine, a compound in black pepper. Best bug spray I've ever use, considering I refuse to use deet.

As a word of advice - PACK IT UP AND GTFO THERE !!!!!!! They will gang up and make quick work out of your dog within seconds !!!! They don't care about you,,,, That K9 is what they won't tolerate being there

Wolves are timid. They will not come grab your dog with a person around and even then, there are farrrr more cases of coyotes, mountain lions and bears taking pets than wolves. Wolves will not expend energy to catch another canine with people around when there are easier prey items around.

I’m no wolf expert. But we were close to our vehicle and had protection. Our dogs were not look at leaving our side. We felt safe and in control.
