Sorry bud, bad take. While i may agree with a lot of your gripes, you gotta realize that Microsoft already views infinite as a failure. The sheer drop-off of players a month after release cemented that. Bad reviews do nothing but stop new players from coming in.

It takes these mokeys with tools 1 year and a half to make another variant of the assault rifle in this case mk avenger 0 vehicles and 1,000,000 new armors with the game still being broken and dumb decisions they don't deserve to call themselves halo studios maybe when they can make a good fun story adding ODSTs, and marines that can drive vehicles, dual weapons, playable elites, and having new stories based on another ODSTs game or playing as a elite for a new story not to mention it takes them centuries to make a new game and remember they have the most people, best technology, the most money, and the most time and they still can't do anything Bungie has done remember Bungie made halo 3, halo 3 odst, and halo reach in a 3 year timeline 3 games in 3 years and they had less technology less time less people and less money

I strongly agree. Review bombing had made even the scummiest of companies, Sony, force to roll back things in helldivers. If we focus our efforts together, they WILL atleast hear us. Criticism IS important to the benefit of companies. Without criticism, they will pump out slop and expect us to eat it up. If we really love halo, we have to show we care about it by trying to show them that we deserve better!

You’re entitled to your own opinion, i’m not saying you shouldn’t boycott halo infinite, but maybe Halo studios can make a comeback. Halo infinite is finally getting bigger updates (they will add one weapon every 3 months) and they are under new leadership. The new manager hasn’t done anything wrong. We just have to wait and see if he’s a microsoft puppet or if he’s going to make the same mistakes. They made it so battle passes are only available for a limited time, however we will be getting battle pass skins for free in the exchange from now on.

While i understand the idea, The corporate executives dont care if the game has a bad rating as long as the whales are spending thousands of dollars on worthless cosmetics which they will. Its not a matter of getting their attention, we already have it because 343 know most halo players hate all of the greed and trends but enough people are buying so theres no motivation to change halo. once you hit their wallet then they will change.

The only thing I fear is that 343 are gonna shut down the MCC and make us play titles like halo infinite, let's just hope they don't actually do that

i uninstalled the game a few months after release, i dunno how you could play it for so long im sure bullets and cover didnt work properly for over a year or something atleast, but this video did make me check the steam numbers and surprisingly halo mcc actually has more players, with the tv series dying as well im just done with my fav game franchise at this point, but seeing them online numbers does tempt me to reinstall MCC, still possibly my most played game on steam

I know good stuff is better and bungie era was better but thats better than nothing that's where we are now i personally rather have halo the state it is now than no halo at all btw ( mods is only for pc not everyone has a pc sadly) and yeah it looks very ugly but its better than nothing i'll try to accept it the trash halo state is all we have instead of no halo at all i hope halo get better

You realise the fewer people playing infinite only means they do less to other versions, maybe even downgrade or shutting down those other versions to persuade people to the newer or games with microtransactions, just like how Ms disabled sale of Minecraft xbox one edition and refused to update it when releasing a mobile buggy broken port being bedrock edition just to influence people to a version with microtransactions. How you can no longer buy Halo Reach, 3 or ODST digitaly through Backwards compatible to push people to buy MCC not to mention the server shutdown of bungie games that cost Ms pennies to keep up as every halo game including infinite has no dedicated servers and still plays pier to pier. I get your point, but people should have done this years ago and refused to buy their crap remasters, 4, 5, infinites campaign, and yes, even MCC if they wanted things to truly change. The damage is done. Also, the reasons the next games will be crap aren't the microtransactions. Although they will play a part, it will actually be the change to Unreal. This will take away the freedom a custom engine provides and as we know the only reason they want the Unreal engine is because it's easier to train new employees on it and easier to use freelance companies like how they've made most of there games, also they make graphics a priority which is maybe the one thing the engine is good at and not just build the game with a certain style like bungie that regardless how old bungie games get, look more pleasing to the eye then the aging graphics of 343 games. Basically, fewer players won't change anything if they already don't care about the IP. Also I've been against 343 since the beginning, starting when they took over halo Reach and butchered parts of multiplayer maps, not to mention to obvious shift to a cod and a Microtransactions model in there piss poor attempts at halo games. I have refused to even touch infinite almost in protest to how the IP has been handled and still play the original games through backwards compatible as even MCC doesn't keep the games charm as they butchered the games ripping away core elements then put what's left of each feature in piles instead of keeping the games as they were.

My first Halo was CE on the original Xbox. Remember playing it with my dad. Been a fan ever since. I know you kept saying it’s not normal for a game franchise to do this bad for so long. But sadly after Reach. This is extremely normal for Halo. It’s not going to change because 343 or “Halo Studios” isn’t an actual game developer studio. It’s a “studio” that is completely run by Microsoft, the publisher. So there is no creativity, there is not fun factor when making decisions. They are completely profit and retention driven. No matter what players say, if they can keep making a profit doing what they are doing. They will continue to do it. And once Halo stops making a profit, since it’s no longer controlled by an actual game studio that would care. They won’t listen to the fans and change it up. They will simply stop making Halo games. And let the IP sit forgotten. Microsoft operates exactly like Activision. They buy up studios that have IPs very popular with players. They don’t at all understand why they are popular, they just want to milk the consumer out of every dollars possible. Killing IP in the process.

I’m not even trying and I’m naturally boycotting Infinite. All friends have left the game cause it took a YEAR to add basic stuff like a goddamn MATCH XP to the game. So now you’re most likely sweating your ass off in the worst solo queue experience I’ve had in a game thanks to what is easily the worst EOMM in the gaming industry. And if you’re not in the sweatiest matches of your life, EOMM rigs your matches to make them free wins (you got destroyed last match) or the most disgusting hard carry games ever (you won too many games). And if you don’t want your balls dripping in sweat, custom games give basically nothing in XP. It literally takes 12 HOURS to max out daily XP and that’s if you ONLY play 12min games with at least one other person in the lobby, so why even have a daily cap if it’s virtually impossible to reach? You can’t even chill in the game without there being a restriction put on you! There is ZERO fun to be had in Infinite, and any fun you do want to have is literally penalized with XP restrictions. It’s like this game is almost designed to push even the most casual of players away let alone the diehard Halo fans.

Yeah like they did these past 4 years. This is coming from someone who has near perfected the MCC and actually kind of enjoyed halo infinite (After Firefight was introduced) . Completely ruined my experience or i would still be playing infinite to be honest. Keep on the fight Sher for the little guys like us that aren't even noticed and cast away like heretics

I agree with everything but we can’t lie and say they were treated like slaves they were volunteering brother that just doesn’t make sense. Sure they deserved to be paid that doesn’t mean they would magically get paid by Microsoft for doing such a good job volunteering. I get your anger but that part of the argument is just uneducated.

Honestly, I think I only played the H6 campaign one time. Even Halo 5's campaign which was horrendous by my standards had me playing it at least a few times.

Halo infinite is fun to play but I love the other halo games especially the campaigns

I jusy want a classic Halo experience akin to Halo Infinite without the in game transactions, a better complete story and bring back classic weapons and not leaving them behind like they dont exist. I could go on and on. One of my hot takes is 343 should have not rebranded to Halo Studios they should have called them Project Foundry or something else Halo esque without being so bland like Halo Studios lol. There is so much they can still do and they choose not to and Ill still call them 343 as well. To me nothing has changed. All the stuff with HI has made me stop playing altogether. Ive been here since H2 and to see the state of the franchise has brought me down. I made memories with my friends and they have moved on in life but I had Halo to lean on for that nostalgia and to play with new friends and make new memories and slowly they have killed my excitement akin to how Disney and Kathleen Kennedy killed my desire for anything Star Wars. Maybe content creators and artists should get together and create new series or universes made for gamers and lore enthusiasts kind of like the game Exodus thats coming out soon which Im totally stoked for. Amazing marketing for that on youtube with lore drops and using Matthew McConaughey to narrate is just a chefs kiss for that new universe to explore. Idk what the future holds but Halo Studios has A LOT to make up for and starting from scratch with the community but they are just repeating mistakes before a new game even drops. I want to jump in and make maps again but they killed my excitement to do so.

I dont want to delete infinite. I still find the multiplayer fun and the gunplay super satisfying. Its a nice break from other games especially destiny 2 pvp. Literally the multiplayer is the only one I like at the moment. I just cant.

Anyone who has an issue with boycotts have a fundamental misunderstanding of what a boycott is. These guys talking about hurting the Devs think that if a boycott happens then management will fire devs to make up the loss in profits. While that might happen that'd be entirely up to Halo Management because the losses would only amount to how stubborn the management actually was about keeping the status quo. If we're not getting the product we want because of terrible management then we shouldn't still support a poor product to act as welfare for the Devs. That said I doubt any calls for boycotts will be heard because the demographic 343/Halo Studios targets are kids who just wouldn't care either way. A lot of fellas like myself who grew up with Halo as it was coming out are in our 30's now. There's no way anyone in my demographic is the target audience because we've collectively called for classic Bungie style Halo and they just will NOT deliver.

I just find it silly to say things like "they're trying to ruin halo's name" they've failed with community relations several times over but to say things like "they hate halo" is frankly moronic and childish. Speaking as a very minor indie dev who's taken several college courses in the matter, no one wants to hate what they make, and most devs wouldn't want to work on something they hated. Speaking from a game business perspective (another course I took) it makes very little sense to purposefully "tarnish halo`s name" . Frankly, this avoidance of the community and their opinions is standard practice in the video game industry due to a long history of gamers being incredibly toxic which has caused the majority of triple A studios to flat out avoid the gaming sphere, especially due to a recent accurance of far right grifters infiltrating the community (not trying to get political, just stating facts). I stand by dig site but you need to have a wider knowledge of how things work in the industry. Once you educate yourself on what game development and business is like you can better critique it without irrationally stating things like "they hate halo" . There are serious problems but unfortunately along as the perception of what the wider online gaming community has sadly become their not going to respond to criticism. We need to work to better our community, be a positive force for change, support mod content creators, and fan devs/indie developers. In order for them to listen, we also need to change how we see gaming and how we treat each other and behave online. We can be critical, but we need to be logical and well-educated about it without being needlessly hostile. We need to change for things to change in the industry and push back against the current gaming culture along side how the triple A studios see us. If anyone is interested in learning more about how the industry works, please seek out your local community college and see if they provide game business and game design courses. It will greatly evolve your perspective on development and maybe even find out you want to do more than just play games! Creating unique experiences is a wonderful experience and getting into game development could change your life in terms of gaming. You'll learn so much and you'll have several of your own personal beliefs completely shattered. For instance, I had never thought about what using input methods does to affect your personal experience playing a game, but it totally does! Someone who plays the original super Mario bros on a NES controller will have an entirely different experience to someone who plays it on an emulator with a keyboard! You may think "Wow, that sounds like a completely pointless statement!" But it isn't. Your opinion is built around your experience with a game, as is all forms of art, and even something as small as what control method you use can vastly change how you feel.
