The tipping point for me was when I read Unyshek's tweet about them being proud of 343's progress this year and then listing bug fixes as if that counts as content. They genuinely think the bar is just to finish the game not to ADD CONTENT. There will be no change without consequences.

I stopped playing Infinite over 2 years ago, i didn't even want to complete the campaign because i completely lost interest in it, it was way to easy on legendary as well tbh, it was just boring. If i want to play Halo i'll play MCC, the last good Halo game was Reach.

I uninstalled halo infinite. I'm a controller player but there's something wrong with the game since June update. There are alot of cheaters, the aiming is weird, shots not registering, grenade are inconsistency, people for some reason doing for damage to me(ex: I have to shoot four br burst, but they shoot three, or they br shoot be once, then melee and I'm dead, and me despite shooting full shots then melee they don't die."

I never installed Halo Infinite, I use to wanna play it, but now I never wanna play Halo Infinite. Halo MCC has limitless potential with its old Bungie Campaigns that are still epic, and multiplayer that is still fun to play and a lot like the original version of the Halo games even though not completely I will admit, Halo MCC also has mods that you can add to MCC, mods that allow you to fight new enemies, give you knew weapons from other games, and overall give you an even bigger experience than Infinite, I love that Halo 3 ODST Mod which lets you fight elites in the firefight, getting to fight elite zealots and ultras in Halo 3 ODST feels like so much fun. 343I could've even added these mods made by the community as official content! 343i could have even hired the Halo modders who made these mods and got them to work there and support Halo MCC, it would have been SO COOL and 343I know that... And I think that's EXACTLY why they didn't do it... Because they knew it would've made Halo Infinite look even more like a joke of a Halo game! Especially by comparison to Halo MCC and especially if Halo MCC Had been given all the content on console and PC By modders. So 343I Are just going to try to ditch Halo MCC because it's making Infinite look like a joke! HELL, 343I could even shut down Halo MCC if they could, but they only haven't done it yet because they don't want a horde of angry Halo fans rioting towards 343I. 343I might only shut off Halo MCC completely if Halo fans stop playing it, so do the Halo community and Halo a favour and PLAY Halo MCC! Do NOT play Halo Infinite! That game even now after all the updates is still lacking in nearly every department, and besides if you give Microsoft money through Infinite that will mean that MCC Doesn't need anything anymore and can be gone completely. This is what horrible greedy companies like Activision do! The old Call of Dutys were GREAT, the new ones are either bad, mediocre, or ok at best. Activision don't want anyone playing the old Cods because they know they won't get any success off the new ones. If we give Microsoft money THROUGH MCC Without getting it off GamePass. Sorry to destroy you're hopes, but only a small amount of a player base in every game even watches YT videos or other stuff about the game they are playing and at least the numbers we know from Steam won't change anything 1-5k more players in MCC and the same amount less in Infinite will not bring Microsoft to look at the numbers and change anything. Since there are no official player numbers for the Xbox app or for the Xbox consoles itself, we can't take any numbers about it online serious and can only guess how many there even are. From what I can tell as custom games player in Infinite - the vast majority of players use standard or free armour, some got a colour or two for their weapons/vehicles, very few got more than that. I myself got a single colour, put it on everything and never looked at the shop again. Anyway, I am playing Halo Custom Edition, MCC and Infinite regularly, and this video won't stop me from playing custom games in Infinite as long as there are other players. Would also be a waste since it's the closest thing we ever got to Halo Wars size battles in an FPS Halo, thanks to the great forge creators.

if you ever get a chance, i'd highly recommend trying out "halo mod wars" on the MCC custom game browser, its not hosted very often (especially since mods have massively died down) but it sounds like it'd be something you'd find enjoyable

Again, whilst without a doubt, it had a miserable launch, this "MCC is the best, Infinite is shit" is simply a terrible, stubborn mindset that many of us in the Halo community need to seriously drop. We need to give devs a second chance, or at least better appreciate what they've been doing as an attempt at redemption.

Anything can become mindless fun if you're dropping your standards to sea-level. Even so, Infinite is an objectively badly built game. You praise the gameplay but Infinite's gameplay is the skeleton of H3's, just compromised by trendy features like ADS, universal Sprint, Slide, Clamber, hit markers, etc. So badly updated that it's STILL playing content-catchup with Halos that launched a decade ago. So graphically regressive that the 360 had better visuals. Drowned in tech debt by contractors who left years ago with fundamental critical flaws that will never be fixed. A netcode so shoddily made that it can't track a player's hitbox accurately if sprinting or moving too fast. An anti-cheat so dogshit that PC players could for years change a few values in their client to get undetectable wallhacks even in Ranked (Yes, the game would fully trust your client over everything). The game remains incomplete & unpolished after years of live service with basic features missing. The most hilariously anti-fun design choices in the form of aggressive monetization where the colors Red & Black are now 4.99$ or 15.99$ for a slightly different tone of Red & Black. There is no forgiveness or genuine attempt by 343i to rectify this actual hubris. Infinite is an Anthem-level trainwreck that is mostly remembered in the past tense. It lost 98% of launch players and they've not shown any sign of coming back. It's so deep into the grave that the tombstone is growing moss.

Furthermore I do agree what most of what you're saying, the launch was laughable, updates were few and far between, the game was riddled with bugs, an appalling player base and the game missed the mark overall in terms of what made Halo, Halo. But what I'm trying to say is that we need to look through a better lense when viewing these sorts of things, and whilst we would like "Halo Studios" to make a game actually worthy of being called another Halo game, we also need to stop sticking to the past and utterly neglecting change, as it is inevitable.

Just look how quickly they dropped meaningful support once we pushed back on microtransactions.. Back when infinite "launched" i played the campaign on gamepass then played pvp for maybe a week then un-installed it. Halo 1, 2, 3, reach and odst is THE halos. Bungies halos.

Microsoft owns all these old Halo engines. There is so much they could add to them. Software engineers could make theater modes for Halo 2. Forge could be added to the older Halo titles. More Forge maps could be added. More custom maps could be added. They could do map contests and add several new maps throughout the year. CSGO is a great example of creating new while keeping the old. All these corporations just ruin everything while chasing the dollar.

all the mods for the old halo's show the infinite potential. imagine modded halo 2 play type for a period of time in matchmaking? Just the match making and the lack of playlists is head scratching. why cant there be a halo 2/3 ranked playlist with TS/Objective/doubles/Swat/Snipers?? i dont want to play just team slayer where every sweat is funneled into one playlist. i dont mind waiting for a game

My first Halo was CE on the original Xbox. Remember playing it with my dad. Been a fan ever since. I know you kept saying it’s not normal for a game franchise to do this bad for so long. But sadly after Reach. This is extremely normal for Halo. It’s not going to change because 343 or “Halo Studios” isn’t an actual game developer studio. It’s a “studio” that is completely run by Microsoft, the publisher. So there is no creativity, there is not fun factor when making decisions. They are completely profit and retention driven. No matter what players say, if they can keep making a profit doing what they are doing. They will continue to do it. And once Halo stops making a profit, since it’s no longer controlled by an actual game studio that would care. They won’t listen to the fans and change it up. They will simply stop making Halo games. And let the IP sit forgotten. Microsoft operates exactly like Activision. They buy up studios that have IPs very popular with players. They don’t at all understand why they are popular, they just want to milk the consumer out of every dollars possible. Killing IP in the process.

Thats the thing. H3 wasnt even a good game. If you compare H1 or H2 to H3, H3 was awful. Every game was awful compared to those 'PERFECT' games. MCC is not the same. Halo died when H2 was taken offline. H3 didnt even use hitscan. It used bullets travelling through laggy-@ss xbox live. Which is why if you got host you were a god and if not your bullets would get sucked into the aether 20% of the time. At least H2 was hitscan so you could actually.. you know, shoot your fxcking gun and have shots REGISTER. Even in modern halo on MCC this isnt a given LMAO. Skill gap of h1 and h2 was easily 10,000x that of H3+. Not even exaggerating. Just flat out 10,000x more skill gap. Like going from chess to tic tac toe. Thats how bad it was.

I quit Infinite for good over a year or two ago. I've also quit MCC due to the sheer amount of cheaters. At this point I'm done with Halo for good as well, I will not be buying newer Halo releases. The monetization in Infinite with how bare bones the game was plus the trend chasing, and the abuse from 343 staff both to the community and personally has shown me this franchise is done. Maybe I'll come back if Microsoft *actually drops 343* instead of putting lipstick on a pig and calling it something else, or Microsoft selling the rights to someone competent with 343 also being ousted.

I can't even play Infinite cuz most of the time the game wasn't even loading fully to the main menu. Speaking of which... How much time does this game needs to load is horrible! It was always putting me off when I thought "Hey maybe I will see what they changed/added". And what does it even load? A main fuckin menu? Which is the most basic they could make it? 100% AGREED Time and time again, they're given soo many chances to make Infinite good and yet it barely gets to the stage it should've been at launch. And yet the game has had soo many more problems in the past several months after years of those chances. -2018 is when they dropped the trailer for Infinite and then craig fiasco pushed it back another year from 2020 to 2021. -Strict Sbmm/ Mmr system being so broken along with the game needing restarts every hour or less. -Matches taking super long than expected times. -Playlist scroll is all jumbled up combining ranked and social and btb and firefight. - in game friends tab is always broken 3 dots. - local server region has no matches - strict sbmm/mmr making population even more dead after midnight with the search queues affected by it. - Tactical Slayer still hasnt changed to Swat. -little to no remake maps in Squadbattle/BTB - Match composer isnt even close to how good Mcc presented it. -Menu background customization needs to be there like how mcc has it. - Exchange and shop should be presented like how it is in Mcc. - Horizontal slider in the customization menu is dreadful and needs a grid. - Microsoft xbox halo studios not allowing multiple media creations like the secret level doom Chief crossover or canceled odst battle royal an other projects yet they approve the Halo tv show that made Halo look so bad by damaging the franchise while its already down. - Then they piggyback ride the esports scene and stick to Shop revenue while they embezzle more studio more with a prolong project while spending even more time now with a new engine instead of creating conversion tools that combines all old and new dev tools for a masterkey type of development across all Halo variation engines in a speedy updated program. Wild how bad its gotten. Most of these things has been a issue since launch too. Barely any to none community dev members at halo studio even interact with the community. I’m not even trying and I’m naturally boycotting Infinite. All friends have left the game cause it took a YEAR to add basic stuff like a goddamn MATCH XP to the game. So now you’re most likely sweating your ass off in the worst solo queue experience I’ve had in a game thanks to what is easily the worst EOMM in the gaming industry. And if you’re not in the sweatiest matches of your life, EOMM rigs your matches to make them free wins (you got destroyed last match) or the most disgusting hard carry games ever (you won too many games). And if you don’t want your balls dripping in sweat, custom games give basically nothing in XP. It literally takes 12 HOURS to max out daily XP and that’s if you ONLY play 12min games with at least one other person in the lobby, so why even have a daily cap if it’s virtually impossible to reach? You can’t even chill in the game without there being a restriction put on you! There is ZERO fun to be had in Infinite, and any fun you do want to have is literally penalized with XP restrictions. It’s like this game is almost designed to push even the most casual of players away let alone the diehard Halo fans.

Stop beating around the bush. Infinite is NOT amazing and MCC has been broken for a decade. You can’t save your videos in theater mode like on 360, there’s still crashing and numerous unfixed glitches throughout the games. The only reason people have gone back to MCC is because it’s all we have left of classic Halo because Microsoft shut the servers down on the original versions.
