This song brings a tear to my eyes every time I hear it. Humanity's impact on mother nature 😢.

I first heard Martin singing this live at Towersey Folk Festival, it was the highlight of the festival for me.

I just retired a few weeks ago. I was born in the Lake District, and have lived and worked here all my life..... when you've been here all your life, it is easy to take it all for granted. I avoid places like Windermere and Ambleside, as they are so busy. When I feel the need for a "peace and quiet" spot, I head out to one of the outlying villages not far from my home. No tourists, no yellow lines, no tea shops. Just a pub, a church and grass verges mown by the residents, planted with shrubs and flowers......

Best sheep in the world. We are so lucky to own the most northerly flock in the UK in Shetland

Lamb from the Lye Valley? Nothing like supporting the LOCAL farming community, eh?

Lyth valley, about halfway between Windermere ( the lake, not the town) and Kendal. It's a very quiet farming valley in the Lake District that doesn't get many tourists as it hasn't got a lake. It is as LOCAL as it gets.

We were going to visit on our way up to Easdale.... but we are pleased we saw this video first.... might just give it a miss....NOT what we expected.... It looks like a bit of a "squat" to be honest.
