Awesome review on a outstanding citizens diver watch. I own the NY0129 and the NY0086 divers . I own mainly Seiko divers but citizens does make a great diver tool watch . Like you I love my Marine Master as well 😃👍🏻💯🤿

The Casio Duro (Marlin) is a classic for sure! It's size is much more manageable and wins on value per dollar for sure. But if you are looking for an analogue watch that can also tell you your current and max depth, there arent many options out there that beat the Citizen Aqualand!
@YouLookLovelyToday
@YouLookLovelyToday 5 күн бұрын
It's it hard to read the depth when diving?
@mr.ethings1545
@mr.ethings1545 4 күн бұрын
It is not that hard but not as precise as reading a digital readout. But one thing nice about the analogue hands is that when I am going for a specific depth, i can reference that spot on the dial for example the 9'o'clock for 30 meters depth and see when the depth arrow reaches that marker

I've often wondered why nobody makes the white frame around the date to actually be lume. That would give it some better symmetry in darkness. I have several swiss brand watches that i truly love but i just always circle back to Seiko and specifically this model. I think this will be my next big boy watch. Great review btw.
@mr.ethings1545
@mr.ethings1545 5 күн бұрын
I saw they have a new model of the MarineMaster in which they squeezed in a lume marker next to the date window a the 3'o'clock but I noticed that they didn't actually redesign the date to move over to make space so instead the lumed marker is eating into the chapter ring which makes the face look even more off balance so in the end I don't feel the need to "update" to the newer model. I agree with you, there is just something about this model that hits all the right notes! It truly is a "if you know you know" kind of watch.
@skduncan1974

@mr.ethings1545 I agree. My SPB185 has that lume marker at the 3 that is pushed to the far edge of the dial. Looks weird but I do love the watch!

Was there any issues when you removed the “non arrow mark” link at 6oclock? I need to remove mine but it’s a link that’s isn’t marked with an arrow. I need mine to be the same as yours. Thanks
@mr.ethings1545
@mr.ethings1545 11 күн бұрын
I dont think you can remove the non-arrow mark links. Do you mean the one that connects to the clasp? But that one also has an arrow mark on in. Coming from the end links on the watch: At the 6'o'clock I have a two non arrow links and then a single (half link) link with an arrow that connects to the clasp From the 12'o'clock I have 3 non arrow links and then 2 regular arrow links and then the one half link that connects to the other end of the clasp I hope this helps clear it up!
@rajnaran
@rajnaran 11 күн бұрын
@ yes. So on your 6 side you had to have removed a link without an arrow to achieve this. Unless it was done before your ownership. This is because originally there are actually 3 non arrow links after the end link followed by the half link that connects to the clasp. Do you recall any problems from that 3rd no arrow link that you no longer have on your bracelet? Sorry and Thanks again!
@mr.ethings1545

@@rajnaran I am the original owner but i dont remember ever removing the non arrow links. The arrow and non arrow links look identical but the difference is that the arrow links do NOT have a taper to them where the non arrow link (coming from the end links) are tapering.

Welcome to the club! Its really crazy how bright and crisp it is even when I wake up in the middle of the night! Hands down the best lume of any watch I have handled. The only weak lume on the watch is the numbers (...10...20) on the bezel but it doesnt bother me that much. Love the huge Inverted triangle pip and the 12'o'clock!
