@mr.ethings15453 жыл бұрын
@@pistolpete023 Honestly, I havent seen many divers wearing watches as the trend seems to be wearing Dive Computers that can double as wrist watches. The machanical watch that I see most often though are Seiko SKXs for sure. Most of the people that work the dive boats usually wear casio/gshocks as well.

I much prefer pin and collar. You are only going to adjust the bracelet once. It’s more secure and more integrated with the bracelet. Screws are a pain, can get stripped, can come loose, and look stupid.
@mr.ethings154522 күн бұрын
I agree! Aesthetically I like the look of screws (but its a double edge sward because if the screws are all scratched up they look horrible) but I have never had a pin and collar come loose where I have definitely had a screw back out unfortunately.

I saw they have a new model of the MarineMaster in which they squeezed in a lume marker next to the date window a the 3'o'clock but I noticed that they didn't actually redesign the date to move over to make space so instead the lumed marker is eating into the chapter ring which makes the face look even more off balance so in the end I don't feel the need to "update" to the newer model. I dont think you can remove the non-arrow mark links. Do you mean the one that connects to the clasp? But that one also has an arrow mark on in. Coming from the end links on the watch: At the 6'o'clock I have a two non arrow links and then a single (half link) link with an arrow that connects to the clasp From the 12'o'clock I have 3 non arrow links and then 2 regular arrow links and then the one half link that connects to the other end of the clasp I hope this helps clear it up!
@rajnaran9 күн бұрын
@ yes. So on your 6 side you had to have removed a link without an arrow to achieve this. Unless it was done before your ownership. This is because originally there are actually 3 non arrow links after the end link followed by the half link that connects to the clasp. Agreed! I would say that according to Navy dive tables, used to determine bottom time before dive computers, on your first dive you max bottom time at 30 meters would be no more than 20 minutes, so I guess they only felt like they only needed the first 20 min. It is pricy, I bought a Padi Edition Turtle and then Modded it, then a solar tuna, then a citizen, before finally just biting the bullet for the MM300. It is still the most expensive watch I have ever bought. If I could do it over again, I would have not bothered with the cheaper watches and just saved for the one that I wanted, the MM300. As I still wear the MM300 all the other watches collect dust. So in the end I ended up spending more money! If youre looking for value and quality, I go between my Marathon MSAR and the Marine Master300. The marathon is cheaper but still awesome!

It’s worth considering that Seiko can usually be picked up with a discount- which is less possible with omega and Tudor. I got 33% off a nearly new mm300/sla023 which makes it cheaper than a Doxa or Sinn. Whilst they’re both nice watches the Seiko is more special to me and also more versatile. The only watch in the similar price range I would pick over the mm300 is a Tudor bb58… but my wife knows how much tudors cost so it’s easier for me to get an mm300 and pretend it cost £500/$450 😄😄

After I havent worn it for a while it will feel a bit heavy when putting it on again but after an hour it feels very comfortable and you really get used to the weight! If the bracelet is properly sized, it should feel very comfortable!
