God EC's riffs are awful. Sadly called a great blues player. Has been one of the most succesfully packaged, produced, and marketed musicians in rock history.

This version smokes the other one. I don’t even like the other version . This version is a badass and the other version gets picked on and stuffed in the locker upside down.

No doubt, this is the BEST version of After Midnight by Eric Clapton. The Michelob version is for its advertisement and is a short version. The guitar riff here knocks you off the chair or couch. It Sizzles. ❤

Clapton’s never done a bad version of this song. My personal favourite is the one on Just One Night, with Albert Lee. Some furious wah wah licks - the second solo is insane. But it’s all personal taste - I don’t buy into this ‘best ever’, because it’s all down to what you personally prefer. But this version kills as well. I love Nathan East’s bass playing - that man bosses it every time.
