Jesse Fuller did his original that way, too. It is rumored that Bob Dylan copied Fuller's harmonica playing style by using a rack to store it.

I got the blues from my baby left me by the San Francisco Bay, The ocean liner's gone so far away. Didn't mean to treat her so bad, she was the best girl I ever have had, She said goodbye, I can take a cry, I want to lay down and die. I ain't got a nickel and I ain't got a lousy dime. If she don't come back, I'm going to lose my mind. If she ever gets back to stay, it's going to be another brand new day, Walking with my baby down by the San Francisco Bay. (Go on Andy) Sit down looking from my back door, Wondering which way to go, The woman I'm so crazy about, she don't love me no more. Think I'll catch me a freight train, 'cause I'm feeling blue, And ride all the way to the end of the line, thinking only of you. Meanwhile, in another city, Just about to go insane, Thought I heard my baby, Lord, the way she used to call my name. If I ever get her back to stay, it's going to be another brand new day, Walking with my baby down by the San Francisco Bay, Walking with my baby down by the San Francisco Bay, Said I'm Walking with my baby down by the San Francisco Bay.

I hope Eric's doing ok these days. I'd heard he has a nerve problem where it's hard for him to play much these days. Anybody heard anything?

Hello, the point of this Unplugged recording was to have a casual recording. So, unprofessional was the goal really.
@shaire993 жыл бұрын
@@ymaaw3735 I unprofessional was indeed the goal, they achieved it.
@ymaaw37353 жыл бұрын
@@shaire99 Not sure why you're upset about that. At least, I think you're conveying a message of being upset. Listen to the whole album and see if they pro or not.
@shaire993 жыл бұрын
@@ymaaw3735 I wouldn't say I'm upset about it but I've had a share of disappointments with Clapton. Giving away my age here but I saw him with Derek and the Dominoes in the early 70's at SMU and always remembered it and him, as great. 25 yrs or so later I saw him with Gatemouth Brown in Austin and could not have been more disappointed. He just stood there stationary (as always) and that was OK however he must have played the same tired pentatonic blues licks over and over 2000 times during that performance. I'm a guitarist and I know precisely what he was doing and it was boring as hell. Never much of a singer, he just dialed it in. The problem I have with most people who think he's the 'Guitar God' is that like a lot of early groundbreakers he did indeed forge new ground and the sound of Cream in particular was new, innovative and mesmerizing. However, over the years he got lazy and worse . . . predictable to the point of, as I said, Boring. You can't be innovative forever but you can put some effort into what you're taking people's money for. . . . That's all I meant by it. Thanks for your response and don't feel you have to reply to this if you don't care to, I won't be offended in any way.
