LeapTV corruption videos aren't out of the question now that the cartridges are dying.
@idoghacker80088 күн бұрын
Sadly, the LeapTV carts are dying because they used low cost 2 gigabyte MicroSD cards for the cartridges and they aren't permanently write protected. I have every game ever released for it dumped and preserved on my PC and plan on archiving them eventually, so at least the software library will not become lost to time. This system is also surprisingly easy to hack using a tool known as LeapPad Manager - you can gain FTP access and send files to it or download files off of it.

man I remember these games from when I was young. I had batman, sonic and a couple more from what I can remember. And I had the first blue leapster you showed off

The crew actually stopped adapting the railway series by season 3 but Wilbert Audrey the creator of the railway series didn’t like that so they decided to do half railway series stories and half original stories in season 4. Fun fact: the boulder from rusty and the boulder actually was portrayed as a character itself in Japan

When I got my v flash it came with cars in the fast lane. It would go to the title screen and crash. Do you know what I had to do. I had to piret the game via burning the game on a cd and trick the system into loading it as a game.

The SchoolHouse Rock! Leapster "games" are just some of the show's episodes put onto the cartridge with a quiz section after each one, so you can always be lazier when it comes to kids licensed games

my leaptv does the same thing! Except, it doesn't even show the icon, it just nopes out to the user selection screen as soon as you insert the cartridge. It keeps going back to it when you select your user as long as it's plugged in!

That LeapTV scenario sounds like whatever factory they outsourced production to must've been a really horrible work environment. I know "Made in China" would be a somewhat obvious answer(even though some actual quality toys/game products HAVE been made there), but this feels like they outsourced it to Greenland.
@idoghacker80088 күн бұрын
The cartridges use MicroSD cards. They're regular ones that can easily be written to as well, so the data is getting corrupted over time.
