Fantastic, are you still smithing Garrin?
@GarrinBufo2 жыл бұрын
I am! Just not making videos any more, I'm a poor editor and never really enjoyed the process. I do make time when I can to get out to the forge and do some work by myself when I can, though.

@@GarrinBufo It's great to hear that you're still doing it. Your Mehrunes Razor video was one of the first knife making videos I watched, and it's still memorable.

Interesting video. Very informative. But honestly , that music almost put me to sleep. Put some music with a better upbeat , and it would be a great video. Really nice looking dagger.

One thing that I could mention is the casting could have been successful if at the time he had used an investment casting method as opposed to the sand casting method. However, even with an investment case there can be complications but overall a really good job on Mehrune’s razor 👍👍👍

Fucking wood glue!? Lol fail. If you’re going to do a pommel, just drill through a block of wood(for the handle) and have it captured with it. Thread the pommel and the bottom of the tang and then it will stay on for good.

A better normalizing would be to heat to critical temp and put the blade into dry sand sand in a covered box. This allows the blade to cool very slowly.

*The Magic Blacksmith* Mages of the old once recieved a request from blacksmiths all around tamriel if there was a blacksmith that could forge and smith those that are impossible for any mere mortal blacksmith to forge, armor and weapons from holy and unholy dimensions. The mages accepted their requests after many years and many requests and finally began their research. After lots of time and research, the mages concluded that this magical blacksmith can only be found somewhere in another timeline, but not from the past, they believed that this person lives in the future. The mages then started to look for a way to create a spell that can teleport the caster forward in time to the future and return them to their present timeline at will when they are ready to leave. To this day, through tons of tests and trails and errors...and the death of a few mages... the mages have still never been able to make the spell possible, but one night, a mage who was only an apprentice(who was also wanting to be involved in the magic blacksmith research) had a dream, but felt more like a vision of real life. He saw a big square that shined a bright light in his eyes with tons of colors on it, he thought it was some nightmare conjured by the daedra. But then, he saw a man beginning to forge a part for a blade. The apprentice asked him what his name was but he didnt answer. The apprentice was unaware that he's actually talking to a screen. "ANSWER ME!" he yelled. The apprentice walked forward and tried to tap his shoulder but discovered that its just a wall with a man inside of it. The apprentice stopped and notcied what this man was forging and recognized the whole blade, hilt, handle, and black stone. "Mehrunes razor!..." He said with a mixed emotion of amazment and fear. He looked down below the video screen and saw "forging mehrunes razor" ".....oh my god...its real...its actually real" He looked even more down and saw a name that he believes is the name of this blacksmith. "Garrin Bufo...thats his name? why cant i get to him, what kind of daedric magic is this?! A wall with him in it and i cant get to him?! DAMN IT!!!" He slapped the big wall and the screen scrolled up revealing the name... "You...tube?...what in oblivion is youtube?...wait" He slapped the screen once more to see what happens. Nothing. He then tries rubbing it up and down slowly. "WHOA!!!" He discovers that the wall can move up or down with the touch of his finger. "Amazing...wait...is there a sign somewhere on this wall that tells me what timeline this man is from?" He finds the date under the video "15th of...December?!...did the future change the names of the months?!...2013?! WHAT?! how far forward is this future" The screen goes black. hes left in the quiet dark alone. he uses the candlelight spell quickly only to reveal the razor being on the floor at his feet. this scares him awake and he immediately bursts out of bed, rushes all the way to the arch mages quarters, bursts into his quarters interupting his work and screams... "ARCH MAGE! DREAM! VISION! FUTURE! MAGIC BLACKSMITH! MEHRUNES RAZOR! 15TH OF DECEMBER! 2013! GARRIN BUFO! GARRIN!!! BUFO!!!" this took me kind of a lot of time to make, can I please get at least one like for this?
