Baker and Shep have ESP with each other. I’ve watched every play. This is big under the radar signing. No coincidence his numbers dropped off when Daniel Jones took over at QB that and an injury. Also the guy is a total professional like Evan’s and Godwin and will teach the young ones how to go about business.

What was David Moore’s contract with Carolina? I didn’t expect a signing like this and I would have rather have had David Moore. When he signed with Carolina, I didn’t think we were signing anymore WRs, so I wasn’t too unhappy about it at the time.

My thoughts: 2 QB. 4 RB. Tucker keeps spot. 9 WR + TE. WR5 is Jarret. Then you can either get a true WR 6 or keep Keift. Since Culp is a tweener WR/TE, I think they keep Keift even though Coen doesn’t run much out of the I. Every other WR on the roster will likely remain on practice squad without getting claimed by another team. Also Durham is 100% making the roster. 10 OL which is a waste and why I didn’t like the Klein pick. Ideally you want to be 2 deep at IOL and OT but they have 3 IOL reserves they like and still need to be 2 deep at OT. I think if Klein doesn’t eventually become a starter then it’s a wasted pick. Could also cut Opeta for a spot to be used at WR or LB but I think 10 is most likely. 5 DL. Mike Greene is a practice squad caliber player. 6 EDGE. Watts makes it. 4 LB. I think Deloach has a chance to beat out JJ Russel. He has more long term upside in Bowles defense. 10 DB. Starters: Dean. Zyon. Tykee. Winfield. Whitehead. Backup: Izien. Hall. Thomas. Hayes. Merriweather.

Thoughts: Will the return of Jordan Whitehead improve coverage enough that Winfield Jr is free to have another big Sack season? Will Vita Vea shedding weight improve his speed and therefore his sacks? If Yaya Diaby or Calijah Kancey has a 9-10 Sack season that would certainly be enough right? One them does really well, while the rest of these guys average 5 sacks each as a group... wouldn't that be a great year?

I’d rather have a team approach and get 48 than rely on one guy to get 10+ sacks and maybe not be a top 10 team in sacks. Bowles uses people creatively and in the modern game positions aren’t as strictly defined as they used to be and we need to embrace that evolution as long as we are getting it the QB. Remember, this is the ultimate team sport, let’s have a team approach.
@tomromeojr6306

I'm not too worried about the pass rush; what I'm worried about is teams runing the ball down our throat ( only Vita is above 300 lbs), I dont think K.J. Britt is an NFL starter, id spread tampa out wide and go to whoever KJ Britt is guarding. I also think our CBs lack experience ( talking about makinga leap!! Tampa/Bowles is REALLY gambling that McCullum is the answer at LCB. BUT, the biggest problem I see with the defense is depth. In particular, If Vita Vea or Lavonte David go down, Tampa is screwed. On the offensive side of the ball, we need to find interior offensive linemen. I guess we found an answer at center, but, who's going to play borh guard positions. Cody Mauch was AWFUL last year. We did bring in some free agents, let's hope they can make a difference. If Baker has time to throw the ball, and the push up the middle is some what contained, I think Baker will have a very good year. I think the top 3 wideouts are studs, the 4th has potential, Cade Otten is improving with every season he plays, and I think we will have a 2-headed rushing/pass catching out of the backfield , rushing duo. We have the skill positions to score a lot of points, but, I think the defense will be a bottom 10 defense in the NFL this searon. It has too many holes and not enough depth. Tampa wll have a hard time winning the division this year.

Bowles MO is generating sacks creatively when he's lacking at another position. Besides Winfield, Whitehead can get you sacks as well, and Tykee Smith brings an entirely new element to Bowles defense. You'll see many more disguises with those 3 on the field.
