Does having more than six Pokémon also cause code to be overwritten in Yellow, Gold, and Silver? If so, would it be possible to have a virus which creates separate trading stations for Red/Blue, Yellow, and Gold/Silver, so that a version specific virus could be sent to those games when traded with? Like you said in the video, there is no way to detect what game you are trading with, but if people are told to only use a specific station for trading with certain games, and the game crashes when they don’t do this, then they will have to use the correct station in order to trade each game. Then, each station could send out a game version specific virus aligned with the versions that station trades with.

Ok odd question about this. Is using this to setup speedruns files in Japanese allowed on the leaderboard? And if so would it be allowed for Glitchless Any% since it is not the start of the run yet? Like say I do this just so I could run a English cart in Japanese, would that be allowed in most or any of the leaderboards? I am not sure if the question has popped up yet but it's a interesting one to say the least especially inregards to Glitchless since this is a setup to the actual file that would be used during the run. It's a interesting question as if it is allowed it would minimize the need to buy Japanese versions of the game especially in the Glitchless categories where it boils down to language and how good you are at the techniques used but mostly language Currently if one were to try and run a English copy in English they could get a good top time and potentially get 2nd place on the Glitchless Any% leaderboard as the best possible time if they used the same strats and route dannyb used. I know that sounds hard to believe but he is not using any version specific strats as my English 1.1 version cart can replicate what he does so it mostly boils down to language overall, granted the minuet cutscene skip i don't know if possible on 1.1 as i never tried it but other than that everything he does is possible. And yeah i know that the rules say SRM itself is not allowed but i don't know if that is during the run or if it extends to this language SRM as a setup to the run as well. Now before you say all dungeons unrestricted SRM it can be done in there is a line in the category rules that says this "If code is indirectly modified by some SRM application but it does not benefit the speedrun, it is allowed" now this SRM would indeed benefit the run as it is changing English text into Japanese but I am not sure if it is actually modifying the code and allowed or not. Forgive me if I am taking what the rules says at face value as SRM is complicated as to me I am not sure what the difference is between SRM and ACE are. Now I know Any% would allow it after the run starts but that defeats the purpose of changing the language, maybe if hundo source requirement allows it it can still be a pretty fast run on a English cart it would be entertaining to see someone do the language SRM in a run. But again I would mostly be interested to know if this could be used to set up Japanese for a Glitchless Any% run as it would have potential to actually compete with the record then considering the Japanese text is fastest as again no glitches are used during the runs. If it's not allowed then that's fine as I am just being nerdy about it, and if that is the case they can always make you show doing the language change setup before the run begins just to make sure you are not cheating, there would also be a question on what the platform would be marked as English or Japanese

I have gotten this glitch a few times in the past in casual playthroughs but i figured it was random on him not attacking as one time he did not attack till he was solid black. I played on ver 1.1 before ya ask
