I'll definitely try to grab this when I can, kits like this that are such a departure from the usual Gunpla I buy are very interesting to me.

Bought mine on an impulse when seen on sale at 25 euros, and almost forgot it till now... But after watching your review, it definitely gained a few places in the backlog queue! I too am a detailing junkie, and in that regard, it seems like a lot of fun...

I feel like the unique appearance of kits in this line was a double-edged sword. Sure, they're cool, but they're not exactly traditional so I'm not sure how much they appeal to most people who buy primarily gundam kits.

Nice work! a good alternative to scraping excess paint, is wooden cocktail sticks they'll wear down first rather then damaging the plastic. I also use it sometimes to rub away dried panel liner in places

If you have built the Rising Freedom and Immortal Justice, why not build and paint the Saviour Gundam, the actual predecessor of those two? For obvious reasons, of course.

Good shout - I’ll keep an eye out for that one. Love how that and the other second stage suits look, even if I have dark memories of building a NG Gaia Gundam many moons ago!

I build the kit a month ago, snapoed the peg on the torso when trying to separate it after cutting from the runner. Now my Rx78 will have core fighter permanently outside 😂

I have been waiting for someone to do a review of this kit for ages. Nice to see it get some love, but the degradation of the water slides is a bummer. This makes me super nervous at the prospect for adding lighting when this kit comes up in my rotation.

I'm a Yank so possibly I'm missing the reference to the bear? Could someone plz fill me in? I enjoyed watching this build. I got this mech as a toy when I was 7 and just got the Good Smile version, but would also like a 1/144

Bungle the bear is a character from the British children’s television series ‘Rainbow’. Mostly fondly remembered over here in the UK, but not particularly known anywhere else. Making him a running gag in a video about a Japanese Mecha kit *was* slightly self indulgent of me, but every time I say the Xabungle’s name, I could only think back to Bungle, so that’s where it originated!

RG Hi Nu has been one of my favorite kits for a long time. I can never find a good enough pose to display it in, I always feel like there’s a better one I could put it into. I’ve had mine since 2021 and it is a fair bit looser than it was, as I’ve disassembled it multiple times just for fun. Eventually, I’ll buy a second one to paint or leave straight, have one painted and one untouched, as the straight built RG hi-Nu’s actually look really cool, without any decals or panel lining it looks really elegant.

I find myself hating ABS plastic more than loving it. It’s not accepting of paint or topcoat, prone to breaking, and makes peg or ball joints feel tight or overly slippery, and there’s no in between. This is a cool model though, I hope the VOLKS kit is better. And as for avoiding superglue for clear parts, Evergreen brand Canopy Glue works great for clear parts that must be glued and also for car and plane model windows/canopies, which are usually glued in. Canopy Glue is more non-permanent for polystyrene, it’s more akin to Elmer’s white or clear glue, which is a alternative that most people use (but Elmer’s is VERY prone to getting stuck and hardening inside its bottle, so I much prefer Canopy Glue). Also, I highly recommend investing in a pin vise and drill bit set so pinning joints is much easier! Great video, hoping to see more kit videos.

ive never bought a bandai robotech kit that was worth the amount i paid for it (despite them getting premium prices). there is ALWAYS some weak joint/joints, stickers i had to replace with waterslides, or really brittle plastic. id like to see motor nuclear or some other up and coming third party (NOT daban) take a crack it.. especially if they can make the transformation work without the proportions looking like ass.

Good video, good build. I'm probably twice your age but only got into gunpla last year. First build was an out the box RG RX78-2. currently i'm painting up my camouflaged Zaku 1 sniper and have several RG, HG and MG waiting to do! Keep up the good quality videos.

The 00 utilizes the RG Exia frame which is one of the best early RG frames that can hold up for a while (same frame as 00 Quanta)

Does this kit come with a stand? Planning to buy it
@syndicationbuilds
@syndicationbuilds 5 ай бұрын
It does, but it’s not a full action base - rather an AB base with a small stand piece designed especially for supporting the 00 XN Raiser in a standing pose. The two adapters are compatible with regular action bases though

This was my first RG that I ever built (just this January). After I put it all together, I found out that is was not really the easiest build for a person's first RG. I can see why people say this. It looks great on the shelf as long as I don't try to pose it too much.

I couldn't get the 00 Riser to slot into my RG 00 Gundam properly. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if it's a QC issue with my individual kit, but I don't really mind since I prefer the base 00 and riser separately. Nice review. One of these days I'll be brave enough to learn how waterslides work.

I was expecting much the same from this to be fair, but the square area around the peg almost has a slot of its own on the backpack, which stops it moving about. It’s easy to remove, but it won’t fall off when shaken, so perhaps they made the tolerances better on this go round.

I'm less professional on my builds, but I did at least color in the inside of the shoulder like yours. I hate the hands on this thing and used fun tacks to semi keep together. I really want the megabazooka launcher, but it's out of print for so long. I'm waiting on either p bandai re-release or the hyaku shiki combo.

Firstly. You realise the methuss is a space use only suit... So it's MA mode not having wings makes perfect sense since they're of no use out of atmosphere. If you like the methuss, the re-zel is it's big brother which takes design cues from much of its design along with the zeta and regz. Lastly, I will never understand why you poms can't pronounce th words and replace them with f or v sounds. Just sounds so dumb and uncultured. I know I know it's nitpicky and half of my people th front too (Australians) but they're all usually bogans and alcoholics. Anyway back to mobile suits.. I'm glad I've never put so much effort into a high grade. I'm most the way through building my delta kai which is an awesome looking little suit with a butt load of parts and more colour correcting stickers than I've ever used before.

Sorry you broke your RG, though the manual doesn't say that the parts are supposed to "click in", the red arrows are just indications to take note about the part orientation. If it is suppsed to click in there's usually some kanji to indicate that.
