The Y2K Zaku - Bandai 1/144 High Grade Gunner Zaku Warrior - Build Overview and Thoughts

Well this took longer than it should have!
I think this Zaku was very much a casualty of my conflicting desires to build more Gunpla for the KZbin, but also to take a quick break from building said Gunpla. As such, it’s not the most exceptional build I’ve done, not helped by the rather heavy seam line removal and painting I had to do. Regardless, I’m pretty happy with the finished results, and if you put in the time and attention, it’s a surprisingly forward-thinking model with some excellent shelf value. I’ll definitely be keeping my eye out for more of the OG Seed/Destiny kits!
As usual, the commentary track may be a little iffy EQ-wise - I recorded it over several days, and I am very bad at keeping my microphone in the same position. That, and a heatwave showed up at the end and did my voice in slightly. I did finally get a better pop shield afterwards, so by next time there may be less boominess on certain words.
Next build will (ideally) be done far quicker - it’s going to be a more recent kit, because all these seam lines lately are driving me mad. Thanks for being patient whilst I chucked this one together, and cheers for helping me reach 250 subscribers and all - when I started this channel, I was expecting 25 tops!

Love the review especially with the commentery while building the kit, totally temted now to get one for myself since theres stocks of them at my local shops. Also love the modification ya did on the monoeye of the kit. looking forward to more reviews like this!

If you have built the Rising Freedom and Immortal Justice, why not build and paint the Saviour Gundam, the actual predecessor of those two? For obvious reasons, of course.

Good shout - I’ll keep an eye out for that one. Love how that and the other second stage suits look, even if I have dark memories of building a NG Gaia Gundam many moons ago!
