I don't mean any disrespect, but it seems like almost everyone in the Southern U.S. thinks that fish has to be "fried" and also "fried in corn meal". Catfish, bass, crappie, bluegills, stripers... whatever, but it has to be fried. I wish you guys/gals would broaden your horizons to baking, steaming and grilling with other options besides corn meal. Frying might taste good, but it's also very unhealthy (if you're concerned about that). So old and unimaginative, but whatever.... Different strokes for different folks.

I think it’s great that you turned them loose. Nothing wrong with keeping fish but personally I like catch and release.

It looks like that second spot has produce 2 years in a row. If I remember correctly you busted them pretty good in that same spot last year or maybe in the spring.

Hey are those lilly pads on the side of the kayak and do you think they may have gone out to that area you are catching the fish at before they start to dissolve. Reason i ask is i see video of people fishing pads for crappie. Im going to try a lake that has a reputation for big crappie and the water color is similar to this seems like all the crappie videos water that same color
