This is my favorite video because it shows what to look for to find the bluegill beds. I have seen these beds on my side scan before but didn't know what they were. My wife loves to fish for bluegill so this will come in handy. Hopefully we catch some as big as these!

Massive bluegills! Never seen them that big before but one day. My question is on the slip bobber set up, is the only way to know how deep to set it is by having a depth finder? I’m having a hard time fishing without a depth finder for crappie or bluegill due to not knowing how deep to set up my slip bobber setup

That can definitely be tough. At minimum a down scan would be sufficient. It gives you water depth, temp and you can see structure.

Best thing to do is find a bank and have at it. You can usually see the beds from the bank.
