Thanks for the videos. I'm wondering if your ebay traffic stats are working against you. Ebay focuses on flagging the best lisitings for a potential buyers typed in view. Just a suggestion: If you have a lot of dead stock that's realistically never likely to sell, your sales conversion rate is likely to be low if listings have lots of views but no sales, no views for weeks, no watchers etc. If you have a sales conversion rate around 1% it might stop your shop getting into the ebay top 10. It's only part of the algorithm of course, but may be worth a look?

@@judithpride1690 thank you Judith! My sales conversion rate is 1.2% currently but I’ll keep an eye on it. I don’t tend to list too much dead stock, just some slower selling items. Which is kind of what I expected the books to be but they sold within a couple of months which is quicker than I thought. I do balance it out with better selling items as well though but I see what you’re saying. 😊👍🏻

@@geordie3965 totally my fault, sorry about that! 😅 The best app to use is EBay! Unfortunately there’s no real short cuts. Each book can be different depending on the type, which edition, the condition. Lots of factors. If you have a lot of low value then just try bundles by author and see how they do. Good luck! 😊👍🏻

Lots of distractions in online selling with Chinese sites and other sites taking search numbers away from ebay. Search results on Google even with ai results slant sponsors ads to the top of their results helping distract shoppers away from what they were really searching for.

Hahaha on the hokey cokey joke! Mug shots are grim - I'd suggest decent cuppa soups as an alternative for winter. Appreciate the update on your ebay experiences the last couple of weeks. I'm seeing a racee to the bottom when it comes to the price of stuff and I too have had offers that would not cover post and packing. Sales are pitiful and I'm at the point where I'm thinking of stopping with ebay after Christmas - I only started selling on ebay to move on my parents stuff when they downsized and was looking at starting a business with ebay in the new year, but not any more. I've already taken a couple of loads of stuff to the charity shop and that feels good.

@@walterwhite7376 you just have to list regular on there. Even if it’s just 1 listing a day. It all helps. Pricing really depends on what you’re selling but maybe aim for the same price as eBay and see what offers you get.

Good call to wait till New Year to readdress Vinted Pro. I have decided to do this too. Hopefully ebay will expand the catagories included and extend the offer too. Yes we have seen a slower sales stretch on ebay. Definately down to coding changes.

Yes that would be brilliant if they did. I think the fact that businesses pay a shop fee should really be enough. If they scrapped fees in other categories but up the shops fees then that might work better for them as it’s guaranteed income that way. I doubt they will but we’ll see I suppose!

I think Vinted are copying Amazon with delayed payment Amazon have recently made all sellers go over to delivery date plus 7 days before you get paid now great video as always as for sales I would just keep doing listings and refresh old listings, and the sales will come

I find having offers on puts people off buying it, they would normally just press the buy it now button and that's it done but with offers they don't always buy and move on because they are undecided what to do and don't bother.

Yes I have got one but we use it at home. I have got another bigger one but it’s buried in a cupboard somewhere. I generally work better in the cold as I need to move around to stay warm! That’s the plan anyway 😄

14 days seems a very long time to hold funds. My thought is gaining that interest on the Money before releasing it to Vinted sellers … I have a 20% discount on all items at the moment to try and clear old stock to make space for fresh additions. I haven’t checked my account for 7 days switching back on the 20th. I agree i get that everyday cost are going up but to not get any views watchers and just go flat like it has it’s not right at all mate . Lovely sale on the Ukaleyley ( I butchered that spelling ) I’m sure Carol vordeman on here will correct it 😅.

Ive been killed by overheads so ive decided to move out of storage place and just sell from my home. I reckon the budget will really negatively impact sales .

Oh also, last week's old £133 of rolls of rain and viscose I got out if a skip on vinted. Today sokd a coat fir £45 a dog coat for £5 somebody gave me, a bundle of beauty items that cost around 2 quid for £10.50 then there's 1xmoee thibg I can't remember ut I also have a printer to pick up for my tiktok ship which is also a lot of hard work and a lot of gri d for like no sales. I am a hunting I've targets but getting g sales is so hard on tiktok. From yesterday I also going to stat doing some KZbin tutorials so been recording clips. Will see how it goes.😊

I've just finished with Vinted. Was going well, I sold three items (clothes being the most popular on there, although prices mostly low for sellers). Then when I hit £30 worth of sales, Vinted wanted some photo ID from me! I'm not doing that. They also said if I didn't give over the photo ID they wouldn't release my last bit of balance. I've added my other bank account details to try & withdraw the funds, it hasn't triggered it again, so hopefully I'll get it back. I'll then close my Vinted account.

Hi Steve, nice to see a fellow UK seller/YTuber. Yes ebay has been a crazy ride this week. I think that alot of back office coding changes has affected the visibility of alot of items this week on the back of the free fees listing that been going on. It will settle in time hopefully quicker rather than later. Regarding the campaign. Yes if it offsite promoted campaigns they can take a couple of week to settle and get past the "learning phase" but if you refering to standard on site promoting that will settle in within 24-48 hrs. Keep up the great work :)

It doesn't matter what you sell, if people aren't buying it isn't ebays fault. They dont make people buy stuff. Nothing has changed for business sellers. Private sellers are benefiting at the moment as there isn't any selling fees. This will change I'm sure. I've not sold a ton of stuff recently but i do have 300 items listed

@@proud_to_be_a_ted I know what you’re saying but sales dropped off a cliff which is very unusual and it coincided with when eBay gave free sales to private sellers. I’ve got almost 900 items listed so for sales to drop like that it’s quite unusual. It could have been my change in promoted listings but a lot of people have also reported the same thing so who knows.

What's the name of the site you're talking about? I changed my listings to freepost so as not to need to worry about cross listing complications if I started a website. We turned off promotions for a month and watched our sales dry up. Back on 5% dynamic promotions and our dales are back to normal.
