Good luck with the website! I built one from scratch a few years ago for a hobby of mine, with absolutely no prior knowledge. It's a headache but very rewarding as the little pieces finally come together.

Thank you! Yes I’m tempted to get someone else to do it instead otherwise I’ll either do it badly or probably keep putting it off. We shall see though I suppose. 😄

Steve where do you find these jumble trails - I live near you and never see then advertised
@SteveSpendsaPenny7 ай бұрын
Just on Facebook. I’m in groups for the local ones from previous years so when they do a new one I know about it.

Ebays dying. I close my store and removed 200 listing's yesterday. Been selling since 2003 and they've fucked me over one too many times

Sorry to hear that! I think eBay is struggling and they’re making some odd decisions but they can easily bounce back. They’re still the biggest second hand platform around.

Where are the higher end books? Mel showed a great video on a US seller with Golio and Franklin Library higher end books.
@SteveSpendsaPenny7 ай бұрын
Was that when she interviewed him in the US? Yes that was interesting. I don’t have a lot of higher end stuff currently but I’m always on the lookout.

@SteveSpendsaPenny yes, I think if you wish hard enough for something - you'll get the items you desire. We Were lucky to get 100 x Folio books for £500. Then this week we picked up 30 x Franklin Library books for £75. Just got to widen your radar outside your comfort zone.

I sell more on Ebid than Ebay. Paid for promoted listings etc nothings works so now only have a very basic shop and I have gone elsewhere. I do like Ebay but I need to make a living.
@SteveSpendsaPenny7 ай бұрын
I’ve never looked at Ebid. I don’t really know anything about it to be honest so might have a look

Great video Steve and I like your ideas regarding Sustain Uk website so as not to be too reliant on EBay 😊 Thanks for help the other day with the Harry Potter books, not sold as yet but fingers crossed 🤞
@SteveSpendsaPenny7 ай бұрын
Thank you! Yes I need to try something different and don’t really want to rely on another site. It won’t be easy at all but Amazon started somewhere 😄 You’re very welcome, hopefully they sell soon! 😊

Hi, are you still just concentrating on selling books or have you started sourcing other categories? Thanks for your videos😊
@SteveSpendsaPenny7 ай бұрын
I’ve kind of gone back to sourcing a bit of everything, especially at things like the jumble trail. Mainly because I don’t always find enough books to make it worth while. But also because I’ve got so many books still to be listed that I kind of don’t want to add to that. But I am still picking up some books when I can.

How often do you post? Doesn't seem like you do next day dispatch?
@SteveSpendsaPenny7 ай бұрын
No I don’t do next day dispatch as it wouldn’t work for my circumstances. I do 3 day dispatch which is what I’ve always done. Sometimes items go out next day though depending on when they sell really.

You have bad ebay sales because you are wasting time making a stupid youtube video instead of picking, photographing, and listing.
@SteveSpendsaPenny7 ай бұрын
Thanks for the help! Mostly I just make the KZbin videos as I’m doing something, like picking orders so it doesn’t make much difference in terms of extra time.
