Yooo that’s a nice set up and great suspension as well.. question here what did you do to have the cv axle straight to the wheel mine isn’t sitting straight at all
@andrewtraylor
@andrewtraylor Жыл бұрын
Yeah, that is tricky. The Fabtech lift gets you really good angles for the CVs, tie rods, control arms, etc. The downside is that the clearance is not great. Although the frame rails are higher, the clearance under the crossmembers is about the same as a 3” lift. Other 6” lifts have much better clearance but you sacrifice angles.

Iknow the video is 2 years old, but like everyone else has stated, this is the best information for this unit on KZbin. SDHQ has also stepped up the mounting option game for the switch, they sell full kits now for your vehicle with everything included for mounting, the plate you got, inside options. Everything you need. I've watched this video about 3 times and am going to order the 9100 for a 2018 tundra with the new overhead mount. I was going to order all the seperate parts, but I found the whole kit. I too will be buying the battery terminals as they do look clean and give better options. How have they stood up to your use in the two years now?

How many BD lights could you run off one switch, wired the same way as you did?
@andrewtraylor
@andrewtraylor 2 жыл бұрын
Depends on how many amps each light is rated at. The switch pros has four 35A and four 20A switches. So you should be able to link quite a few lights on one switch as long as the total amps stays under 35A, using one of the 35A switches.

I’m just curious why you didn’t just add the oem factory Toyota Tundra brake controller .?. I ordered the factory oem brake controller system- which came with the factory trim piece, the controller itself, and it was literally plug n play. The factory oem brake controller harness plug 🔌 was right behind the stock trim piece. I didn’t have to do anything, I just removed the stock panel piece, plugged the oem brake controller into the tundras brake controller wire harness that was just sitting there behind the factory panel, and because it’s another factory oem piece- the new brake controller and new trim panel was a complete factory fit, flush fit, no hand tools needed other than just a panel puller. And my stock dash and wiring system reads the brake controller on my dash. Just a curious question,

@@jasonmoore-singersongwrite9780 I posted the link for the brake controller and bezel. It’s plug and play, my tundra is a 2015 and it fit right in as OEM fit, and plugged right into my factory wire harness, the plug 🔌 is literally right behind the blank bezel, just plug the controller into it and your dash and truck works right with it.

@@alexbowie7346 if you just google search “2016 Toyota tundra oem trailer brake” it will bring up everyone who sales them. The one I bought was the bezels and brake controller, but is out of stock from the place I bought it from, and utube keeps deleting the link I post. And yes, my tundra was a 2015, and the factory trailer harness was literally, just right behind the blank bezel just sitting there. Pop that blank bezel out, grab the new trailer brake bezel and plug it right into the wire behind the dash, and bam 💥 u got a factory working trailer brake, and ur dash and computer will read out, and show u all the settings when plugged into a trailer. No tools or programming needed. I just used a panel popper to pop it, and that was it.!. And it’s flat and smooth, not a hideous trailer sticking out

Nice set up! I'm looking to do something similar, but am concerned with roof clearance in the garage. Could you tell me the measurement from ground to roof? TYIA
@andrewtraylor
@andrewtraylor 2 жыл бұрын
It does limit things. I’ve got a Rhino roof rack on top of my canopy so that adds an extra 7-12” depending on what’s mounted on it. I know I can make it if the max limit is 8’ with a little bit of safety margin. So parking in 7’ garages is definitely out. I think it might be too close for comfort even without the roof rack in a 7’ garage. All the lift/tire combos are a bit different so YMMV.

@andrewtraylor
@andrewtraylor 2 жыл бұрын
North Ridge on Baker is harder/more difficult. The Reid rarely has anything beyond a short step of AI3, but the NR crux is often AI4ish and close to vertical for a good bit.

Can you make a video how to run a relay if you had to on the 9100? Looking on adding a light bar but it pulls 34amp and they recommend not going over 80% which is 31amps

Hmmm, I'm not sure how that would work. That must be one hell of a light bar to pull 34amps. I'm running the BD S8 30" at 12amps. Just looked up their S8 50" and it's still only 20amps. I might contact SwitchPros directly and ask. Good customer service from my experience.
