hey this is a great tutorial tysm. when i set up the noise to color ramp to scale it seems like only the size of the instances are effected not the distribution. i've rewatched this like 10 times trying to figure out if i made a mistake but can't figure it out :\

Amazing tutorial! And I totally agree with this part at 9:15. I used to be against stock assets, but my mind has completely changed after thousands upon thousands of hours of working in 3D. The way I see it is if the scope of your project is bigger than the object(s) you're using and the object is obtained legally and credited properly (just like you did here) then there's absolutely no shame in using it! Now I only custom model the things that I know don't exist or that I know I can do better. Also, stock assets are used all the time on even the biggest productions.

The "is this worth it if Ai is gonna replace me?" and "is it really ok for me to use this in my world if i didn't create it?" are both things i grappled with recently learing UE5 to make games. I like how you brought them up and tried to address them.

I don't really think ai is going to replace 3d artists, the thing that's going to replace us is someone using AI, i mainly use it for concept art, but sora ai and other ai can't be used for commercial uses, the only kind of artists that sadly are getting replaced are concept artists, i try to see ai as a tool that can make my life easier.
@ZachlyS26 күн бұрын
I think AI will become a major power tool in the creative field, but I don't think it will replace artists who can adapt and USE AI to its full potential, because the average person sure can't.
