Couldn't agree more, as a beginner I love Blue because they challenge me while staying safe and they also give me a chance to meet with more experience riders as well, kids etc

The trick to use the original flat bar shifter (to me) is to press the lower edge with thumb, and to "knock" the shifter on the other side of the bar grip with the middle finger. By knocking it down, it rotates up. You can do this easily because electronic shifter so light. The feeling is very nice. Forget about the rocker pad.

I think those set up woes, in addition to air leaking out slowly, pushed me towards a full coil set up. But I’ve been itching to go back to air to make the rig more lively in pumping and pedaling support. This makes it seem much less scary! Thanks for the vid.

I'm on an ebike and normally do about 2h rides, seems about half way through the suspension feels stiffer, is this due to pressure build up due to heat? I noticed this on my dirtbike when I had an air fork and recommendation was to drop about 3-5psi from where you wanted it to be to account for it.
@maggoffm75869 күн бұрын
Is it recommend to start with the fork and then continue with the rear damper or vice versa? Or should i do each part of the setting on the front and back at the same time ?

Thanks for the video, I have a question. How do you get the pump off the fork with out letting all the air out when you unscrew the pump? I have a fox fork pump but it won't leave the air in the fork.
@jakpbubu4 күн бұрын
You are talking about all air from the fork? Or just quick sounds of air leak? There is an air packed up in the pump cable after gauge and before fork air valve so when you are unscrewing it just makes you think its from the fork but the valve is already closed.

I hate to be that guy, but would you be willing to share your settings with the V2 Sentinel? I recently bought one based on your impression and a few others. I'm 6'-1" at 195 lbs geared up. running Fox 36 and X2. I'm getting closer, but not sure where to go from here.
@JJaguar33325 күн бұрын
Nice! Just brought a V2s frame in size L and chucked all my high end old components of my old rig. X2 was faulty off the bat so it’s in getting repaired.

yeah, on the battery drain, you gotta remove the batteries when traveling to avoid wasting charge. I finally learned this with my AXS road/gravel setup. Batteries last a very long while if you observe that recommendation. Is it worth the extra hassle? I don't think so, which is why -although I appreciate my two road/gravel AXS bikes- I'm going mechanical mechs for my future bikes. That is, until solar charged wireless systems come onto the scene!

been riding for a while now but never really messed around too much with my suspension settings, once they felt decent i just kinda rolled with it. I also had a coil shock so once set it didn't really need much adjusting. i just recently upgraded to a new bike with much more customizable suspension (including the change to air shock) and after the first few rides was really noticing how much more chatter i was feeling in the rear, and diving in the fork. Watching your videos was hugely helpful for both understanding and dialing in the suspension to a point where now the fork is eating up rocks and roots comfortably, and the rear is staying plush and on the trail. cheers mate, definitely earned yourself a sub

Excellent video. I have never thought of the ramp up of air pressure causing a fork to ride harsh with a lot of sag. I think it is a case of running near the recommended sag. That said, I think forks that have independent air for the positive and negative side of the spring likely have more ability to be tuned to run smoothly with more sag. I have had great luck setting up my CC Helm with more sag but I never the Helm may be better than some of the other forks I've run for this.

Curious if you’ve ridden the new V3? I’m on the fence between the Sentinel and the Ripmo V3. Since you ended up moving away from the Sentinel for similar reasons why I am hesitant to go all in on it, I’m wondering if the new Ripmo is the perfect balance.

Why stick to cables: 1) Easier to repair with bare hands. 2) No lost batteries (happened to guy I know). 3) No discharged batteries (friend of mine has been in a this situation twice!). 4) No requirement to charge the batteries. 5) Better tactile feel (subjective perphaps, but I love direct feeling of mechanical derailleur). The only true pros of wireless I've found: 1) Easier install. 2) Will work with bended 8 speed cassette due to per-cog adjustement.
