How do you do this with 30inch hair?i can’t do it unless my hair was relaxed
@sabrinawhite71855 сағат бұрын
I used to get this done in the 80's. I never combed out the curls. Them joints were hard.😂 they stayed for 2 to 3 weeks. What a beautiful time it was.

Love ur videos! Rollersets for becoming a straight hair natural who wants to keep natural curls is sooo less stressful than using a blow dryer. I’ve also really been enjoying small flexirods. I find it’s a good style to curl train my hair to encourage coiling, but it’s still stretched so my hair doesn’t tangle over the 1-2 weeks.
@AuthorLHollingsworth9 сағат бұрын
Although, I haven't had a roller set in years, but as a kid my hair was always straight from the root due to roller sets. Your hair looks so beautiful 🤎🤎🤎👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Is fine hair better with big or small rollers?
@tresstoimpress42247 күн бұрын
I more so base my roller size on my hair length, bigger as it gets longer so the dry time is tolerable. The bigger the roller, the fewer times the hair is wrapped and the faster it can dry

Thanks you so much for that video... By using those rollers set on my 4a, 4b, 4c natural hair on every wash day, my hair is on a "stretch form". I have less breakage, less shedding, easy to finger detangle on my "refresh hair day" 😍😍😍... I put my mix avocado and castor oil on my hair and i put just a little bit of blue magic on my edges. I was able to keep my "no heat stretch hair" for 3 weeks 😉👍🏼

@@Sheila-kl2jw Thansk for response. I want to do it but it takes so long😅
@Sheila-kl2jw5 күн бұрын
@@friedchicken892 Well, yes and no... Let me explain briefly. No, bc usually it takes me 2 days for my "whole wash day" (from washing until i blow dry and style my 4a 4b 4c thick natural hair /shoulder length). Also when i blow dry with my comb attachement, it falls all the time 😫😫. After i take my 2 in 1 air dryer to finish the work. Results=almost 3 hrs of frustration and my arms Hurt 😤😤! Since, i saw her video (Tress to Impress), i said to myself, let me try this 🤔.. Girl 😍, it's day and night! I do everything in 1 day!!! So, yes, it's long but after spending an hour and 15 mins under my dryer, i keep my rollers, i eat supper with my family and then, i remove all the rollers, comb and style my hair for the all week. 😍😉. I hope this will help you and encourage you to try 👍🏼

Do you workout? If so, how do you maintain your hair during/after your workout?
@tresstoimpress42247 күн бұрын
I do not work out. When I did, I would blow dry my sweat on the cool setting immediately after working out (like at the gym) rather than letting my hair revert and dry in that state.
@mrod875 сағат бұрын
I work out and rollerset my hair. I put my hair in a tight bun and i don’t take my hair down til my hair is dry. If i need it to dry faster I’ll sit under my hooded drier (edges still wrapped, hair still in my workout bun) for 10-45 min (whatever it takes) until completely dry. I live in dc and it’s super humid. I use satin scrunchies or metal claw clips go hold my buns so i don’t have any bends in my hair.
@ErnieDee4 сағат бұрын
@@mrod87 thank you. I just invested in a hooded dryer recently. I’ll give this a try.

I feel ignorant, but what is steaming?
@tresstoimpress42247 күн бұрын
Exactly what it sounds like, adding water vapor, water in the gas state, water heated past boiling, it turns to steam. It can perpetrate the cuticle of the hair and hydrate it.

Have you tried velcro rollers? I'm worried they will cause frizz!
@tresstoimpress422416 күн бұрын
They tangle in long, curly hair and create more frizz. I don’t think they are for wet hair. They work well on bone straight hair and silky weave from my experience!
