Olivia Poingdestre (Nee Daykin) Mrs. Brown taught me at Coronation school, she was a first class teacher and an inspiration to me. I will never forget her.

Thank you, John-Paul :) It was time-consuming to edit, but very satisfying! Just glad I was excused the 6.30am rehearsals... 😃

1959, the year my brother Stuart was born, he died December 1999, aged 40. Stuart like myself we were born in what was then a Nursing Home at the top of Princess Street.

I lived in that house from 2008-2017. It’s great to hear about its history.

1961 I was 6/7 years of age and lived in Edward Street, near Princess Street. I would have been sledging in Waldron Street where my Grandparents lived, with my Cousin Ivan Beck.

The teacher doing the Biology Class, explaining the human spine is Alan Strickland, my dad. Is there a way to get a still picture of him from this?

You can pause the video and screenshot it, or if you don't have any luck with that let me know and I'll pull a couple of frames from it for you.

Excellent. I don't recognise anyone although I do see my old house there opposite the college. How wonderfully varied the curriculum was in those days.

Thank you - glad you enjoyed it. I think it's important to share old photos and films etc. otherwise they'll end up lost along with great chunks of our past. All the best :)
