@ fingers crossed my man, that’ll be cool!! I actually just did my ttr125 hubs in Illusion violet and I’ve never done illusion colors before. But the reaction is cool, literally flash the purple violet for 2-4 minutes and it turned silver. Then add clear vision on top and it pulls the purple back to the top. Really interesting how it works, love the color but it didn’t match at all not even the slightest bit haha, I’m thinking my flash time could have been off or mayb the mill thickness of the clear and or the illusion could have something to do with it.
@Near2Future16 күн бұрын
@@klegraefe I can't wait! I hope it turns out just as awesome as I imagine! If the colour is lighter / darker in area's. Then it's a base mil thickness (too light not enough powder to dark too much). If it's overall not the right shade could be clear as you said or cure time. I would have also pulled it out at around 2-3mins. Once it's started to flow / gel. That's when it's rdy turning silver would be a good indication as well of a good pull. I've heard of people using diff clears with purple! I hope you figure it out, definitely a hard colour to pull off.
@klegraefe15 күн бұрын
@ overall it’s consistent in color. Actually I missed a step, says to let it cool down completely after gel out and I’m pretty sure I applied the clear coat at around 175-250 degrees while it was still hot, Almost like a hot floc application, I’m gonna have to try a test piece, hope yours goes to plan as well!! 👊🏻👍🏻

@klegraefe6 ай бұрын
I don’t no where to begin haha, the car is absolutely amazing hands down. Sad thing is, I don’t drive her that much, main reason being, I never got the reverse to work as I wanted to, it does work but I don’t really like how it is, plus it’s an absolute rocket ship, if your building a racecar, I would do this, if ur building a street car, for around town and such, I would not recommend the street motor, a lot of hi revs and with no reverse, it makes it sometimes difficult to drive In public especially in traffic hahah. Overall though, I’d say it was an Easier build being u have a much smaller wiring loom, and most of the components are small and can pretty much fit anywhere in the car, biggest challenge was fitting a slim enough tunnel for driveshaft and exhaust while keeping enough room inside the car to fit a proper seat, the tunnel makes it super tight inside basically. As for weight, I have no idea. My best guess is somewhere around 1700lbs I appreciate you watching man thank you 🙏🏻

Your tool doesn't do nearly as well as theirs because your RPM's are probably double or tripple what they should be even with you turning it down. The harbor freinght one is way better than this method and the Eastwood is a bit better quality than the HF version. The RPM's is the key to making this device work properly.
