I had run into this tune when playing with the younger crowd so I decided to sit down and learn it. You made it simple. Thanks!

I love all your videos, my friend. Plenty of mandolin teachers on KZbin, but You're one of the very best. Your free lessons are very well prepared and well taught. I still do your gcd arpeggio exercise ecery single day. That one lesson has done more for me than just about all the lessons ive watched from other teachers. Thanks a million.

Nicely explained. I remember discovering something like it when learning a couple of O'Carolan tunes, Planxty fanny power springs to mind, but once you realise the mechanism the idea tends to spread to other tunes.

I can't find in the video where you even play the tune straight through Mike. I'd lead with the song so we can know if it's something we'd like to learn.

Hello. Yes you are correct. This is one of my older videos and was still working out the best format. Any videos created in the last 2 years have started with the song so people know what it will sound like. Thanks, Mike

Great video as always. I started playing about 6 months ago and your videos have been super helpful, thank you! Torna a Sorriento and the Vivaldi concerto videos/pdfs are some of the main things I've been using to practice. And because I am an avatar of the yawning maw of need that is the internet, I must make a small request. If you ever feel like doing a follow up on the next section of the concerto, that would be amazing. I want to eventually learn the whole thing but my music reading skills are not quite up to the task yet. Anyways, thanks again for all the work that goes into this!
