What if the communications from the First Civilisation trigger this sense of time in the Assassin using the animus, meaning when they use the animus to relive the lives of their ancestors they have the potential to alter their actions and therefore time itself in the progress

Sense of time? Often considered the 4th dimension, could explain why the First Civilisation were able to peel back the layers and see through it, speaking through to the exact point in the future where someone looking into the past would hear it

(3)The isu or the first ones could access their past selves and future selves through what they call the sixth sense . (4)The isu did not live in present ,they simultaneously lived in all their past and future timelines ,not only this they lived in all possible realities and versions of themselves .This is the sixth sense !!! (5)Isu or the first ones it is explained tried to manipulate their sixth sense to make their preferred reality by altering the past over and over again until they got what they want .But eventually they failed Cz the future they tried to make was based on past and the path they took to avoid their destiny was actually the path to their ultimate destiny that is destruction ! Anyone care to explain what is the meaning of all this segments? I know these "messages" are directed to Layla but who's sending it and for what reason? Now suddenly Desmond's sacrifice was for nothing and the world is destined to be destroyed again? And why to her and not to the Assassins or Templars? Layla is just some random bitch who doesnt know shit about Juno, the Isu and the war between Templars and Assassins. She cant comprehend any of this.

So basically they're setting up a new gameplay style for future games. According to this the Animus was never a genetic memory reader, but a decoder of time itself. And the new Animus has the potential to alter the past. The stuff about fixed nodes and variable paths is mostly a layout of how their version of "time travel" will work: some events on future game's plots will be fixed, but the way you complete your missions, and advance through the game will be flexible. Not only this will provide flexibility to the gameplay and story of the next games, but they'll allow them to flirt with the change of certain keypoints in the game's lore, like the death of Desmond (and in the last few years does it not seem like more and more people want him back? I know I do), Lucy and maybe even Subject 16's.

I am beginning to think that Desmond delayed the destruction of Earth. But this event is inevitable. Maybe it all comes down to Layla now.

I dont think Bayek can hear these recordings though. Or if he even came across them in the first place. Its quite evident because the narrator is prompting the user( in this case Layla) to question the reality provided by the animus. It leads to the idea that these recordings are likely to be stored within the animus and Layla had access to them by spending way to much time in there. Plus, if you hear other segments, they talk about events that happen in 2012 for exaple, and thats impossible for the first civilization to know the far future.

since brotherhood that I have been waiting for a game that allowed us to relive memories of the isu era. waiting for eva's blood as 16 said in his message to desmond. in the black flag trailer I saw the blood vial and I was sure that finally we were going to relive eva's memories, but of course that wasn't going to happen. so far the only thing we have actually witnessed was the toba catastrophy. nothing more. and it seems we will never even be close to have the freedom to act in the real world, just relive memories and at best explore the small locations where our animus is.
