Superb !! I've trailed Loch Ard.. in fact rather bizzare I know.. but I believe one of my Dad's friends was 'buried' in there !! ..It was in his will and testament.. not sure if they did a burial at sea or just scattered his ashes.. Mr. McKay his name was.. and by all that saw him labelled as 'an eccentric' ..wonderful !! My Dad worked with him at Ashridge Management college near Berkhamstead in the 1960's ..and the pair of them used to 'sample' the 12 year old malts of an evening !! lol Wonderful to see this video .. brings back a whole load of funny tales my Dad told ..like when old Mr. McKay 'clocked' one of the junior managers for having been sat in his seat !! lol ..brilliant !! ..never get away with stuff like that nowadays !! 😂

Hahaha 🤣 That’s amazing. What a coincidence you knowing the loch since it’s not that big really. The things that went on in colleges way back omg. I worked in one. Lecturer sending apprentices across the road to the bookies!😄Evacuating the college due to BBQ smoke (ok that was me😂)etc.

Wonderful trail ! ..where I am there are a load of 'dips' ..where folk in the past were digging for something.. usually sand to use in construction ! ..and rocks for the same !! ..awesome !! ..the long path to Lime Kiln's pond is amazing !! ..my trees are covered in moss here in the mountains !! ..probably to keep warm !! lol

Amazing drone footage. I am now trying to learn all the video making skills, but there is no way I would dare to pilot a drone, even if I have one, also a DJI Mini.
@TerryMcGearyScotland4 күн бұрын
I find it a too steep learning curve trying to use fancy editing. I don’t think I’ve exhausted the possibilities of iMovie yet. You have a drone but don’t use it?
@FranciscaRigaud4 күн бұрын
@@TerryMcGearyScotland It is tough but I find that it is mostly due to all the video editors nowadays being quite bad, because they churn out version after version in order to make more money. I use Filmora, awful too. Your video skills are great, believe me. Yes, Colin has one, but that is above what I can do and he gave up. Lies unused, and a stabilizer and all.
@TerryMcGearyScotland4 күн бұрын
Oh I’ve seen videos edited with Filmora. Is it not suitable for your needs? Some KZbin videos seem to have more sophisticated techniques used than I can manage. But I don’t mind really. Perhaps you should charge up your batteries and try some simple drone manoeuvres such as simple tower shot (I think that’s the one where you just send it straight up and make it turn around to film the 360 degree landscape, then bring it right back down). If confusion arises just let go the control sticks until you work it out. With mine if it runs out of charge it heads for home automatically. Yours might do the same.
@FranciscaRigaud2 күн бұрын
@@TerryMcGearyScotland Ah, we talked about Filmora and all of a sudden the adverts are about Filmora. AI... always tracking everything. It does everything I need if it all worked, but often it does not. If you look at the adverts, flashy, wonderful, but once you pay it can be really a miserable experience. Maybe I should make a video about them, hahahaha. No, I am scared of manning a drone. If something goes wrong and I lose it, if I hit something or someone, if it disappeared in a river, if I am in the wrong area... it would give me nightmares but a couple of my videos like La Vie en Rose and Climb Every Mountain used a drone and I love them. Wow, it is like having a pet, a well trained one, always comes home. Still scared! I think that if I did it with someone I might get used to it.

Beautiful, Terry... absolutely amazing! I used to be a photographer and travel writer and Austria was my favourite country. Sometimes I was interviewed on TV, or magazines and they always expected me to say that it was the Seychelles, Mauritius, but no, it was Austria. Know Mayrhofen quite well. What a beautiful holiday... The Austrian Tourist board used to call me their "house photographer". Not been there in many years, though. But I still visit the head of the tourist board of Salzkammergut who now lives in Portugal, as he now lives there. He was one of the many Austrian Children sent by Caritas to Portugal during WWII. Incredible landscapes you have here... Actually I met my first husband in Durnstein, Wachau, decades ago.

Thanks and glad you liked it. I have another graveyard from the same day. I’ll need to put it together with its few seconds of drone footage. I’ve had my DJI Mini 3 Pro with RC remote for over a year and a half and still love it. So easy just to pop in a poly bags and still in backpack and pocket: I discovered a fisherman’s waistcoat has pockets for lot of my electronic gadgets of which seem to be breeding 😂. I’m sorely tempted to treat myself to the DJI Neo as well which is even quicker to lift out, switch on and have follow you. So cheap! It has its limitations but it has its place. Graveyards are wonderful from a learning point of view and your right that if you go to one in a new place visited it can show lots of snapshots of the history of the place. They are peaceful and reflective as you say and not to be too dark about it but it helps sometimes to make peace with things. Lovely drone shots and that castle is great find although the horrific story of the lady in the wall is really dark and hope it didn't happen. Again fantastic drone images. Was that near where you nearly got hit with the lorry during a live stream? Maybe there is a strange presence going on around that area there 😮 I've only been to the big hotel in Strathaven so seeing the lie of the land is brilliant. Great stuff Keep on hiking, discovering and flying 👍😀👍🥾🥾✈️
