So your prior room will not be released until you have confirmed the new room? Which means you can look and see what options have become available with each new wave?

Correct- you retain your room until confirming a new one. However, you are only able to see the rooms in your assigned wave- until all waves have had a chance to select.

Yes, I did grow-up and was successful in life… Once, during the fall of 1978 we hijacked a Kearns bread truck on Cumberland Avenue during a homecoming (Bama) riot. I opened the back doors and started throwing bags of cinnamon buns at cars from Alabama.

I lived in Clement in 1977 and 1978. What a great time! We would shoot pop bottle rockets down the hall and also under other people’s doors. It was also fun to shoot them across the courtyard at the girls in Strong Hall. What great memories!

Yes, students select where they live! During room selection, the available halls will be listed on the left-hand side of the page and if you see a hall and room option that you like, you can select it!

Not true, my son had only option of 2 older dorms, we were excited about the new dorm when we had our visit and were told we would be able to pick.

@@sonalipatel1674 same here. The majority of the good dorms (like Magnolia and Dogwood) were specially reserved for the LLC communities. I only had more options because there happens to be more all-female dorms. I had the unfortunate luck to get the last time slot in my wave, so all the good dorms were picked over.

Yes. There are visitor policies in place however. Each floor contains a West wing and an East wing. Each wing is divided in half by a boy's section and a girl's section.

Before FB takes it down completely, I want to show you what you claim to be so proud of. facebook.com/Higher-Education-Corruption-1496859907284903/ . UT steals and uses your money to commit crimes and cover them up. UT has once again denied my civil & constitutional rights. This happens every time I speak out on their criminal antics. I'm an UT alumna with 4 degrees. I WAS a loyal, hard-working, underpaid, overqualified, 15-year employee at UTK. What did I get for all that? I got fired for speaking out about discrimination and gross misconduct. I'm now a private citizen, living on gov't. assistance because I can't get a job or references. I don't even live in TN. Yet, UT has blocked me from commenting or liking anything on any UT FB pages. It's a fucking PUBLIC university paid for by our taxes and tuition! Hello? I'm calling out top-level public officials and they are so arrogant and powerful that not once in 2 years have any of these people tried to talk with me. Ever.

As an alum of Tennessee, I am always astounded at the inability of the administration to integrate new buildings with existing ones on campus. While this is better than some (A+A building and the HSS and McClung Tower, for example), it will be outdated in 10 years or so. The Haslam Building is a good example of blending. It resembles an old building from UT's past, yet has many of the "updates" that advances in technology have brought our way. Tennessee would have a beautiful campus if they would just take the time to consider who it will look compared to the buildings on The Hill.
