Fun fact. The freight train locomotive used in this scene belongs to the Illinois Railway Museum. It has since restored it to its original appearance from when it was first built as Chicago Burlington & Quincy 504, and is in full working order.

It saddens me to learn my lovely Billy Connelly had a horendous childhood. I also had no safe place as a child, and in between school terror and home abuses there was also a gang of girls that chased and sometimes beat me up. Your resiliance is amazing, Billy. Love you.

Forever favorite. “Beta males” are desperate for approval, deeply insecure, and quick to play the hypermasculine “you’re gay” “you’re a little bitch” “you’re a pussy” card whenever their fragile little child egos are threatened… and yet they’re seen as strong leaders in the political party that can’t tell the difference between a guy who has to talk constantly about how rich and smart and strong and big dicked he is and someone who actually IS those things so they don’t need to say a word. It’s so transparent… I hear what Trump is saying but all i really hear is “Like me!! Like me!! Like me, tell me im strong and magnificent and special, like me!!!” 💀

“Corporate cooking” was VERY popular when I was growing up in the 50s and 60s…ESPECIALLY with suburban stay-at-home moms. Women of my generation (their daughters) who went on to law school, business school and went on to be heavy-hitter earners were raised on “corporate cooking”…but once they occupied the upper-middle class realized that the food their mothers served was sort-of tacky. BTW…upper middle class women no longer clean house. They hire housekeepers.

A "messenger" is someone employed by one party to deliver a message to another party. There are no messengers in this scenario. The Catholic Church is speaking directly to the world, no messengers involved. And they are despicable hypocrites, as Mr. Savage pointed out in a way which does justice to his surname.

Equally fascinating and horrifying, isn't it? Because of the corporate business model, it's always about more and more, every quarter and every year. It isn't enough to simply sell. They have to sell more, and then sell still more, because they have shareholders they need to make happy. So there's two ways for them to solve that problem: 1. Market food-like substances to a population that's growing as fast as you're selling (not possible) and have more people, every generation, who will buy from you, or 2. Make those products addictive enough that it doesn't matter. Unfortunately for corporations, #1 isn't sustainable, even if what that recent book "Countdown" by Dr. Swan has to say isn't true, but it probably is; and #2 will eventually backfire, when an entire population has decades of eating over-processed junk finally catch up with them. That's already starting to happen. Of course, from the medical industrial complex's perspective, it's a win-win. For now. But eventually too many people will be way too sick for it to be rationalized or dismissed.

Religious Zealots are always justified in saying anything they want to say whether true or not, because Jesus is on their side. All while they completely ignore "What would Jesus do?" A True Believer wouldn't even need to ask that fundamental question: "A new Commandment I leave with you. Not as the world giveth give I unto you; that ye love one another as I have loved you." Jesus would love. When will Christians begin to love? God created me. God created you. God created everyone. God created everything. Deny what God has created. Deny God. Just because the Bible justifies anger and hatred and violence is no excuse. The Bible is the inspired Word Of God. The Literal Word Of God is Jesus Christ. Live a Christian life with love and compassion and the world will change. Or not. It is up to each of us. Love. ❤️
