I think the inconsistency of the jacket and scenes is just artistic freedom. When adapting something from one medium to another, things are often altered so that it better fits with the current vision. Also, scenes of Eren in the sky doing the freedom dance were clearly a vision, so what he's wearing doesn't really matter, and it makes more sense that he's wearing something similar to adult Eren due to that vision being from adult Eren. Just my thoughts, not trying to dump on the believers.

At this point, I don't even know what people want to see as the ending. Mainly because I read the manga as every chapter came out and really liked the original ending. Especially because it's what isyama wanted to end the manga with. I'm really hoping we get an AOE to see a different idea of how it could end, because in all honesty, I think the manga was the only way for everyone to live truly "free" according to what eren needed to do. I don't know what people would want to see as the AOE as I really don't see a way out from the manga ending
