So in both cases it's a loop, unless he is going to be changed literally by something other than Mikasa's death. so in both cases, for me, it would be same, and so the ending is just a matter of taste. But again, i am praising the crafting of the overall "opera" if it turns out manga and anime is just a single long story. I hope everything will be on the level i am expecting to be, i am just curious.

It isn’t just jacket color. His eye color is consistent too. Akuma no ko opens with a GREEN eyed black jacket eren watching a bird die. Probably seeing manga erens memories. Then, we get a GREY eyed red jacket eren looking at an abandoned paradis. Akuma no ko is literally demonstrating that manga eren and anime eren have shared memories.

I've read the manga, I did not hate it but I wish it could be better in the anime. I want to believe we will have an AOE but I don't want to be disappointed. The thing is, the one thing that stuck out to me after I watched Akuma No Ko after reading the Manga, I realized something that gave me chills. Paradis was not destroyed, it was abandoned. This is why I am leaning towards an AOE with the fact that Red Jacket Eren (Anime Eren) is standing in a field of flowers on Paradis Island, which is abandoned, not destroyed. The ending was al I needed to have hope. Back then an AOE was not popular but now that more people are talking about it I have Hope.

It's not an "alternate" ending, is a continuation of the same timeline, just looped. Anime Eren sees manga memories, and manga Eren sees anime memories. Him being killed, lead to Paradis to get destroyed, but this time he will live, someone else has to die, not spoiling you since you care about the story.

I always assumed eren had turquoise eyes that were blue and green and they pushed for more green eyes so him and Armin and Mikasa would have their own eye color, and I think that mappa made his jacket black bc it was like that in the original manga and that the anime makers messed it up and try too fix it by making the Opening scene with him at the tree having the brown jacket and making it change black when Carla got eaten.

I have a crazy theory. What is if the reason eren has different memories to this moment is because, his future self used the founding Titan to alter his own memories, in order to manipulate himself to do what he thinks led him to his purpose. But the reason we as the viewer see a different memory in anime episode 1 is because we see the scene from mikasas view which also got caried away by hannes. And since she’s an Ackerman eren couldn’t alter her memories. So we see the original scene through her eyes in episode 1

I'm no theorist, and as someone who thought that they were crazy for some of this stuff, even as someone who already saw rational objective evidence of an AOE that was more solid either way, but now, I honestly believe the Eren shirt and Mikasa facing theories that these theorists had since part 2 are now vindicated. WHY? Well, I always found it weird that they shown different flashabacks of Eren from that day, and then in part 3, they don't even copy their own work of how Mikasa faces Eren, and instead executes the whole "see you later" scene in a way that raised ALOT more questions than answers. Yeah, the intro to part 3 really shut up AOE theorists, since it proved them right.

I enjoyed the manga and wanted more. Probably it's better to veer toward the keep the readers wanting more side. However, if we DO get more in the anime and it's great, fantastic! I think the inconsistency of the jacket and scenes is just artistic freedom. When adapting something from one medium to another, things are often altered so that it better fits with the current vision. Also, scenes of Eren in the sky doing the freedom dance were clearly a vision, so what he's wearing doesn't really matter, and it makes more sense that he's wearing something similar to adult Eren due to that vision being from adult Eren. Just my thoughts, not trying to dump on the believers.

People said season 3 would be different to the manga. It wasn't. People said season 4 would be different to the manga. It wasn't. The story is Isayama's story. He had been building up to the final chapter, and he understands his story more than anyone else. If they change the ending for the anime, I hope it will be a good change, but that is not what usually happens. A bad ending that is disconnected from the rest of the story could ruin the show entirely.

You guys are kinda missing the point of the scene ESPECIALLY in the anime. Specifically ADULT Eren says "I'll wipe out every last one of 'em from this world" which is a line we've heard from kid eren since season 1. By showing us kid eren and making the jacket black in this scene, we are being shown that it was Adult eren who planted this thought into kid erens mind in the first place. Remember aswell that this scene is NOT meant to be Eren saying "this is payback for what youve made me live through" because later it is revealed that Eren controlled Dina not to eat Bertholdt and to instead head into the walls. More still is the fact that we know Eren manipulated at least some of the past users of the attack titan as seen with Eren Kruger. All of what I have mentioned does not require an alternate universe to exist to make sense. If we talk about manga and anime differences, its very overlooked that Isayama was not happy with the Military police arc and some other areas in the manga hence why certain events happen differently. WITs adaptation actually has some harmful changes especially to Mikasa's characterisation e.g. the Hizuru tattoo not being shown at all and they even had that arm shown bare with no mark on it. All in all though, I just hope no matter what side of the argument everyone is on, we can all enjoy the anime ending and I think it'll help us appreciate the manga ending better :)

When you view the credits Eren is ding from the 13 year curse. He died at the vary start of the show and restarted to put the scarf around her neck. Basically when he says. Ill put that scarf around your neck as often as you want me to when ever you want me to. Then activates the founder's power for the 1st time. This is an oath like the founder's none violence. Eren and M keep reliving the same lives over and over. Eren was born free now he cant get out. Its why he tells M to get rid of the scarf and has grown hatred for her.

@@Alex-ud4tl let me rephrase/explain, because i actually have no issues with the ending and i’m pleased with it but with the looping and how important mikasa was, i would hope if there’s an AOE that it would give them something more as a reward for all of this that they went through and something just better but i meant happier as in “more satisfying overall” i tried to say a lot with few words lol
