Sometimes I drink entirely too much, and somewhere between starting to go to bed and finishing going to bed, I feel him, the Spirited man, whispering. Not whispering his own thoughts and ideas , mind you, but whispering to me that my own ideas, my Spirited ideas are ones to be acted on. The squeaky door that doesn't quite close, the suspended pole I hang my laundry on needing reenforcement after having fallen in the last storm. My air conditioners draining coil needing cleaning so that it can adequately drain. The organization system I have for my tools being lackluster at best and needing and over haul. These are are not the plans or devices of this, the Spirited man, but the acknowledgement and acceptance of another, Spirited man, stepping up to perform his spirited duties. And I will not shirk my responsibilities. I will gladly step up, and accept the mantle, and the burden of existing as, a Spirited man. And now that the time of drinking before bed has ended, I shall sleep. And then awake. A Spirited man.
