love the quote, but it hasn't served me well....yet. I went for the corporate office job and it's mostly been a miserable ride. I have many overall type hobbies, and have been longing for an overalls "job" Edison is my hero.

When they started putting zoom on a drone I was like well a less quality lens on a almost good sensor.. Now I see the light, such a good way to use it. With all that movement you can probably do a zoom in post. I’ve ignored drones until now because it was something not worth buying for that price and will not improve the story telling that much, but this video got me thinking maybe I want one it’s more to it than just some overhead angle aerial shoots.. Sorry I’m piggy backing you with this comment, your comment seemed to be the best for it and most probably to get a reply.

@@BeseDanAlexandru You can´t do a dolly zoom in post. The way you pull it off is to going wide // zooming out in the same pace the camera pushes in.
@BeseDanAlexandru
@BeseDanAlexandru Жыл бұрын
It goes both ways in or out the zoom needs to be the opposite of the movement. Of course you can do it in post, if you have the camera movement, you to the zoom in post the only problem is you lose the quality because it’s going to crop into your footage.

In the spirit of Kerouac and Bukowski, Van Neistat speaks with a wit and rhythm that suggests deeper meanings. I often only listen to his videos and can hear the emotions of the Beat writers when they told us about their daily grind. Read just the transcript from one of his videos and you will see what I mean. Good stuff.

I didn't get why you had to go through so much trouble to build this thing, but after building our house for now three years, I abso-fucking-lutely get it! Any non-mobile tool sorting solution will tend to be in a place other than where you need it to be, and Comercially available tool boxes just aren't ADHD friendly. You need something like this where all tools are visible at all times, not just organized

Why was the drone shot so crazy
@oofunstuff
@oofunstuff Жыл бұрын
It’s a complicated shot. He would have been zooming while the drone was flying forward and for it to look right, the zoom speed has to happen at the same rate of speed the “dolly” or drone is moving forward too. It was an amazing shot and done very well.
@bl4ck1911

Whenever I see your videos, I think of how satisfying it would be to be able to make or fix things with my hands. And then I remember that hot face feeling I get when I realize I’m in over my head, and I realize that the feeling of failure is too much of a hurdle to jump for me. But maybe if I watch enough of your videos, I’ll start believing that the hurdle is smaller, or that I can jump higher. Great video!

The best advice I can offer is to learn to enjoy the failures or, I guess, it is really to redirect that energy. Once I embraced failure I began to see it is a necessary step my best work. I still get hotheaded and flushed when I mess something up, but I recovery really quick and try again with that failure now part of my knowledge. :)
