How serious is a leak like yours? I have a 12 ft job that has a few leaky rivets, not sure at what point I should be super worried

I have a 1972 Lowe 12' and it had some leaky rivets on the bottom. A few layers of Flex seal spray just right over the rivets took care of it completely. That stuff is magic!

With people and equipment how much weight do you have in that 12 foot boat. I have a very similar one and I'm looking to get an 8hp outboard to go with my trolling motor.

question - how thick is the metal on this? i'm looking at one online, they say 1.5mm, seems thin? Or is that normal for these?

1.5mm is pretty standard for these smaller riveted flat bottom Jon boats.

@@bearcreekoutdoors7850 Cheers! I might go for it then.. I have a Macgregor 26X as my main boat, which I love but it can be a pain towing and launching etc, when you just fancy an afternoon casting some lures. A little 12 ft sitting on the water at my local club could be ideal :)

Thanks and congrats to you. They are a blast. And the PFD is great the only down side is that it gets really hot in the Texas summer months but other than that I love it.
