Where would you get all that lumber for $20?Come on
@carattop10 күн бұрын
Measure and mark everything before cutting so you don't come up short!! We started with the 10 23,7/8 pieces first and came up short on the lumber.

I noticed the outer pieces (legs) are longer than the middle ones. Why is that?

Man I can’t find any 1x4’s at Home Depot or Lowe’s that are worth a crap. Maybe 1 at each store after digging and digging, so frustrating.
@yaminlvddt115 күн бұрын
Just built this Saturday. Still have to sand and stain. One note from your measures for precut. The 24 inch 1x4 should be 25 1/2 inches.

Not interested in building a Scandinavian bar stool but as always the music and easy going wood working kept me watching the whole way through. I swear this music is an absolute masterpiece and glad you have stuck with it all these years.

Build a frigging work bench, for goodness sakes. Get off the floor. And what did you do to the girl?

Given the lack of basic safety practices in this video, and others they posted in the past, it's possible she's no longer with us.

This stool is wicked awesome!!! I love the simplistic look of it!! Thank you so much for sharing the design!! : )
@Arbbal16 күн бұрын
Freehand cutting anything on a table saw without using either a miter gauge or rip fence to guide the wood is extremely dangerous and can lead to kickbacks. Second, cutting something that is round where the very nature of the shape is prone to rotating and pinching the blade in the kerf is dangerous on a table saw even with guides. Finally you're making a simple through cut, there is no reason to not have your blade guard installed. The lack of basic shop safety in this video is appalling I thought you were better than this.

That being said, it is a gorgeous stool!

I bet you are fun at parties
@Arbbal16 күн бұрын
@@stoots1000 I know, I want to make sure all my guests make it home alive and in one piece. No one ever dies or even got seriously maimed at my parties, what a buzz-kill. But this isn't about parties, it's a woodworking channel, one that is presumably aimed at beginners, otherwise they would demonstrate actual joinery and not rely on screws to hold their projects together. So the necessity to demonstrate safe practices is even more important. People can get away with doing something dumb and or dangerous and get away with it once, a hundred times, a thousand times, by eventually luck will run out, and it only take one time and in a fraction of a second you life is irrevocably changed.

If I wanted to use this design to make a chair to sit at a desk, how long should the legs be? This design is so nice and clean.
@Arbbal16 күн бұрын
Figure out how high you want the seat height to be, and subtract the thickness of the seat board from that number. So easy even a complete idiot can do it.
@Withoutfeathers16 күн бұрын
@ lol. Well see if I’m the idiot! Lol.
@TheRehabLife16 күн бұрын
Thanks! Just subtract 7" from the leg lengths and it will be chair height.

Great way to hide all the junk that stays in our pockets and ends up in places like your nightstand, the entrance table... I am interested in something like this WITH hooks underneath for hanging your keys. Also, if I were able to make individual compartments for each person's "stuff" inside, that'd be brilliant.
