O-M-G for a parlor sized guitar of that age to still have so much volume and just UNBELIEVABLE tone says so much about its quality and the 013s picked up every nuance of every note that I felt like the guitarist was sitting in my living room performing! It was so impressive that I just ordered 2 sets for in my studio! #Mesmerized #Mindblowing

On the dynamic side of things, the Miktek PM10 is golden in voice, even though it’s a tom mic. Plus it’s on sale from Miktek for $99 on the road shipped!! A must try!!

I own the Soyuz black FET 013 and I just finished a private house gig in Nashville. I used the Beyerdynamic M201 windscreen to minimize the plosives. High pass filter and cut a little extra bass, through the Soyuz Launcher Deluxe for some added saturation, it was golden! And i have tried a ton load of mics! This is just magic. You out to try the slightly crisper 011 FET.

Sounds perfect. The slightly unfortunate thing about this is that I wanted to like the Soyuz 011 on overheads nearly as much as the 013, but I don't. The 013s are better suited to that. And I think sound better on strummed acoustic too. I better keep saving ...

We understand! Thanks for checking them out! It's tough to really compare the 011's and the 013's head to head. Theyuse entirely different capsules and are based around two completely different designs. It sounds like for your ears and the sounds you prefer the 013's are the way to go. But for someone else, they might prefer more of the articulation and clarity of the 011's versus the 013's darker response. Different paint brushes and different shades of color 👍

Completely, in fact I think the 011s would be perfect for my concert classical nylon string, or concert steel string, played finger style. And probably flat picking, mandolin, high string guitar, banjo ...

I love my 013 FET, this is one of the reasons I really wanted them, for acoustic guitar recording… and some vocals… but it’s really so versatile I can put it on anything and it’ll sound great 👏🏼 to hear La Leona on the FET is a match made in heaven ☁️

If you include stereo bar matched color of mics it will be so much better, obvious and complete package. How much it will be, just $10 extra on top?..... Even Behringer included stereo mount for *30x* cheaper mic. And you can say, that you can buy out of shelf, somewhere, but the key is color match.... but I see that you have one..... for $113.... really?.... Should be in set included (for free). Not a nice touch.

That "golden" capsule as I understand is pure metal, will it be oxidizing over time? (for example like coins loose shine)

What preamps did you guys use? Also, how do you have each mic panned? Ctr or left and right?

We used Pueblo preamps which are very clean and transparent. I beleive these were panned L & R but somewhere between 60 and 80% (not full left and right hard panning)

Soyuz makes some of the best modern mics in existence. Why? Because:.. they don’t sound or look like anything in the “modern” category. They are classics. Buy them and don’t ever sell them.
