@@obengston1 Looked at Quicksilver (universal model, not a console model like yours). The metal tab with the red rubber indicator (tip) is sort of flexible -- it can be nudged gently back and forth. But CAUTION: it's attached to (same part as, really) the left-side plate that has the cutouts and bumps that actuate the Neutral Start and Backup Light Switches. I don't know if you could bend the tab forward enough to get better alignment without throwing off the actuation of your switches. You could remove the red rubber tip, and try to attach (spot weld, or epoxy, or ... ?) an offset pointer that the tip would fit over. Good luck ... :-)

Is it not just the clear plastic window that has the incorrect markings? Mine has: (Park)(R)(N)(D)(2)(1) No third. I bought a set of those plastic windows and I got two versions. The one you have and the one I currently use. I think mine are aligned correctly. I commented before wathing the whole video. I might be entirely wrong about this.

To be honest its more of a show/street car that I built, but like to try the track occasionally. Breaking it down again right now to repaint it. It looked great to most people. To ones who knows cars/paint good could see the flaws like me. It has taken many Best of show, and Peoples choice awards like it was. Again your never satisfied. Have you solve this problem? I have a similar problem with my Ez-Efi 2.0.
@obengston17 жыл бұрын
Yes not much longer after I published the video. If you call Fast for help you will always get the same run around and feed back. I come to find out even after I fixed it had systems later on. Each and every time it was the MAP sensor....the little rubber plug that goes on the map sensor for what ever reason split all the time. Either keep replacing it or just unplug it and use another Map sensor plumed in a different location.

That is one nice ride. I see you run an aftermarket a/c and used the factory center outlet vent, which is a real nice touch since the aftermarket ones are, well, ugly. I just installed an EZ 2.0 in my 68 SS Camaro with a ZZ502 mill. I fought a bad MAP sensor but Brain and his crew at The EFI store pointed me in the proper direction and, I can truthfully say, I've bought my last carburetor. the throttle response is killer, driveability is very good, and the system is very reliable. Again, nice work and enjoy that car.

How did you fix the flooding problem. Why did you have to trick the system with exhaust cutouts will it not work with them. I'm about to put the same fast 2.0 system on my 383 stroker and I have Electric exhaust cutouts on mine to.
@obengston19 жыл бұрын
+wickedchevelle The cutouts where not located far enough away from the o2 sensors so it would throw the air/fuel reading out of wack and the system tries to fix it, but with the system tricked as if the NOS is on it turns the self learning off.
@anthonymarkgriesehop21989 жыл бұрын
Fuel injection tuners that I know all say it might be good for a stock engine. We tried it on a 670 hp 496 big block Chevy. The 2.0 has no map adjustment and would not work. We had to go to the Sportsman ECU to make the system work and we turned off the self learning mode because it messes everything up. Set it and if any tuning is needed do it with a laptop. Also store the last tune in the ECU and in your computer so you can go back to it if needed.

EFI : does is provide better fuel consumption and smoother idle ? easy to install? I have MSD as well.
@obengston110 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Yes really easy to install. As far as fuel consumption...I have no idea because I never check, due to my type of driving. It performs really well, very smooth idle, and cranks without touching the gas, no matter how cold.

Its really easy to hook up t the MSD. The instructions are easy to follow and walk you step by step. I read the instructions several times before ordering, so once I did order its was pretty easy to follow and understand with the stuff in your hand, The on/off switct was just a idea I had that I knew that with power added would give the results I wanted.
