All this kinda stuff is a bit silly because 99% of drivers don’t want to drive on muddy dirt roads in the middle of nowhere.

Australia doesn't have the wilderness version so I lifted my Outback with 2inch Ironman ATS. Plus 6mm skid plate, AT tyres. It is pretty much unstoppable on the beach

How do you like the Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires on your forester? I have been looking at those tires and wondered how they do traction wise in icy and thick snow roads.

My gripes are with the Apple CarPlay is a major pain if you also intend to listen to your Sirius XM while you drive. I’ve put 17,000 miles on this truck in 5 months. Also when the truck shows zero miles to empty the app on your phone will always say 35 miles to empty. Sounds great until you realize now matter how many times you’ve been out of gas, the app will ALWAYS say you can still eke out 35 more miles. And If you love a vehicle that will slam on the brakes before it will let you back into some grass then this is for you lol

Just bought a 2024. There are a couple things that really annoy me. The camera quality is really really bad and almost unusable. It looks like minecraft. The backseats are too upright for my children to sit in for more than 15 mins. The Fender Audio sucks really bad with no "MID" adjustment. The steering is a little too heavy (yes its reliable because its hydraulic) but its overly heavy. Also the last thing is the turning radius is horrible, meaning it turns like a full size truck and parks like a huge truck. Its super hard to make a U turn, even my old 2022 Tacoma turned much sharper.

I own a Subaru crosstreck 2024. The AWD X-Mode system definitely needs a bit more time before you brake. Keep the gas input steady and have X-Mode on and trust me these vehicles can go over almost anything.

The new hybrid engines are already failing. The Tundra, sequoia, and the Lexus are all having catastrophic engine failures with the main bearing blowing repeatedly. These are going to hold their value for a long time!

Yeah I started hearing the same thing about the hybrid engines. If I could afford it I'd go with the new GX550 V6 but getting a 5th gen 4runner sounds like the way to go. Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks for the video, what a disappointment, I was so wrong thinking Forester is great off road. Dacia Duster or similar less than half priced vehicle is much better. With less than average off road performace, reliability issues and poor quality transmition colapsing after 100k km Forester is not going to be my choice. Thanks one more time
@MarcsMotors6 ай бұрын
Thanks for your opinion. While I've never heard of a Dacia Duster, I've had 3 subarus all over 100k miles and no real issues besides typical maintenance. Very reliable in my experience and certainly no transmission issues in either of my foresters

Nice video - I have the same model but a 2024 which hasn’t changed much since your video. Wondering if you had any issues with the transmission overheating?
@MarcsMotors6 ай бұрын
So last summer I noticed my oil temperature light on the dash started turning on, took it to the dealer and they replaced a bad thermosenser under my extended warranty. Not sure if it was due to any off roading but recently I did get a notice that this part is being replaced as needed under a warranty extension so I'm thinking it could be related to this. Did you see the 2025 sport that was announced? I have a video for it and I like the subtle changes

Good video. A note on the tires, Michelin cross climate tires have a v-tread pattern on them. They are really great at displacing things like snow and rain from under your tire to get to you bare road contact. They are also great at displacing sand and digging a hole! I learned this the hard way on my '04 Forester by getting stuck on the beach. You have to have the right tires for the job.
@MarcsMotors6 ай бұрын
Yes I totally agree. That's why I emphasized how well the Forester did even with these tires but once these get a few more miles on them, I'll be replacing them with all terrains 😁 . Thanks for stopping by and the info!
