Believe it or not Yngwie's A pretty cool guy. I've him back in the 1980's He came here to the US on a work visa from polygraph records and Started playing the club scene Here in Los Angeles Pretty much before he was Even famous .That was then this is now!

Would have way more impact if he played a little less every now and then. That’s always been why he was never bigger. He over-plays. He never serves the song.

But then he wouldn't be Yngwie, his philosophy is more is more. He's over the top, that's what makes him Yngwie.

I've listened to this off and on over the years, and my opinion of it hasn't changed: this is the best version of the song he or anyone else has played (at least compositionally). Everywhere he should zig, he zigs. Everywhere he should zag, he zags. Somewhere in some universe, there is the perfect version of this song, and I wonder if this is the closest we'll get to it in ours.

As someone who is learning guitar right now, this seems impossible. I mean like it literally can’t be done. The amount of coordination and technical mastery required to hit all these notes flawlessly cannot be overstated.
@Aerlioz9 ай бұрын
You can make it. I was able to play a fast major scale up and down from obsesive practice. I strayed away from playing like that, now a fusion jazz guitarist at high level. But i dont recommend to copy other guitarists. Its ok to have influences. But find yourself in guitar. Play what makes you, YOU. Be true to yourself and for a while, play ONLY the things you like. Not to impress anyone, but to make yourself happy. The goal is to find yourself through music. It will be tough in the beginning. But i tell ypu rightnow, i cant live without playing, now that i can play exactly what i hear in my mind and feel in the feels. You’ll get there man. It kinda even helps with the ladies, but my stuff is more like explaing a science project; its esoteric and an erudite topic.

There are none better. You can claim others had more mainstream songs that attracted a larger fanbase, but Yngwie is by far the most technically gifted. None of the other "greats" that top the list could replicate this, but Yngwie could play their songs while asleep.

@Aerlioz9 ай бұрын
Its his scalloped fretboard. Its a something completely different between guitarists. It feels like you’re just touching the strings like a keytar and allows superb bending abilities. But its something that you cant just pick up and have that talent, you have to have been playing scalloped frets since you started playing. Absolutely amazing control that he expresses his vibrato as a complete example of perfection.
