Oh my gosh I’m not the only one who segments my floss this way!! I’ve tried using wonders and the floss is longer than 8 YARDS. That extra piece drove me up a tree! I know do my floss this way for floss drops…
@StitchingMasterpieces13 сағат бұрын
Yeah! I tried many options as well, but this current one seems the best one so far. And 1 meter thread looks easy to stitch with and no need to needle it too often. 8 yards at a time would be too much for me. However, I stitch silk pattern with 3 metres thread and it works fine. Probably sometime next week I’ll show how it looks like 🤞

Hi olesya. Another great video.❤❤ I am curious as to the reason you use A spring lock hoop inside the square hoop. Thanks
@StitchingMasterpieces17 сағат бұрын
Hi! Thank you for the kind words! I use square hoop to add extra space to lean the hoop against a table. And sometimes square hoops are easier to fix on a stand. Spring lock hoop I use to have a good tension for the fabric. Square ones do not give so great tension for the soft fabric. But it is essential compare to hard Aida. For stamped canvas I can use only square hoops and it work just fine

Hello. I Love your videos, but I have a question. Why do you only make a half stitch (/) , insted the full stitch (x)? Thanks in advance
@StitchingMasterpiecesКүн бұрын
Hi! Regarding half and cross stitches, I would say it depends on a project. I truly love half stitches. They are so airy and flying. At look awesome with scenery. But it mostly depends on the picture I am going to stitch and final size of a design. For “in a room” pictures or with people I select cross stitch. If I would like to have a very big in size project, I would select cross stitch as well. At the moment I have approximately half cross stitching projects and half for half stitching projects. My the highest priority design is on cross stitch. It is called “scholar in a library” and I show the progress on it almost every week. kzbin.info/aero/PL0Br0oZrnL71FhqtCr7ucyJY-_rcHHqGk&si=EFokths9xycPSe6H You might see on my channel another great design that I stitch in cross stitches. It is called “a little girl”. kzbin.info/aero/PL0Br0oZrnL72eef8HYYPGL4mdfntfWyRV&si=dyGAjQ5GV-zDHS9p The girl I am going to finish sometime in the beginning of the next year, so we will see it more often this fall More to add to it, I hope to stitch other cross stitch projects more often, but still considering different approaches how to manage this to have it interesting and still to show some visible progress as far as most of my projects are full coverage designs above 150k stitches in total

@StitchingMasterpiecesКүн бұрын
Thank you! Haha, yeah. When I started it, I did not know what would be the best way to make half stitches. So, when I figured it out speared that I have to stitch it upside down. Do you remember, when I planted this year stitching I said something like this “I am going to stitch about 15k stitches this year. But you know me, I can change my mind easily and decide to finish it as soon as possible. I don’t believe it will ever happen though…..” haha…

Is it cross stitch?
@StitchingMasterpiecesКүн бұрын
Hi! This one is half stitch. I have several other projects in cross stitch as well
@ItsmeitismeКүн бұрын
When would you decide half stich vs cross stitch? @StitchingMasterpieces
@StitchingMasterpiecesКүн бұрын
@Itsmeitisme hi! I like more half stitch usually. It is so airy and flying. In most cases, if I stitch scenery, most probably I would go with half stitch. If I decide to stitch “in a room” picture or people cross stitch looks better. And it depends on the desired final size of the project. One of my cross stitches is a gift to my daughter. When I discussed with her the project she said she would like to have it as big as possible. For some pictures, like my Castle in the Sky, it is almost as big as I am even with half stitch. With cross stitch I might have a problem to find a wall big enough for it 🤣

@cloverstitcher2 күн бұрын
I just wanted to say THANK YOU for showing us your organizer cards! I finally broke down and did this with one of my HAEDs and I already LOVE IT! Lord the amount of money I've wasted on organizers when I could have just made ones for each project! 🤦♀ I have been using pakos but it was a pain to use on the go, and I was always afraid that my hanging floss would get dusty or dirty cause this project will take me years! I'm one of these crazy people who pack around my HAED 🤪 This not only saved me time, and space, but now I don't have to worry about loosing needles off the pakos or crushing the pakos and needles in the huge bag I was having to use. Now it all fits right in a normal size project bag and it just tosses the project bag in my big purse and go! Yes it took time to make, but its well worth it in the end and keeps the hanging floss clean! BTW instead of using clips I used washi tape and taped the whole bag folded, now when I need to add more floss, i can just break the tape, add, and just put more tape on it and carry on. And it created a pocket for the threaded needle threads to be tucked into! What a great idea! 🥰
@StitchingMasterpiecesКүн бұрын
That’s so great you like it! It took me several iterations to come up with this idea and I shared it because I truly feel it is very good one. Over a year I did change it just for a little bit, but don’t want to change it completely. And I noticed as well that if I have flosses hanging for long time without a bag they become visibly worse. Not even because of the dirt, but because of moving them there and back. Agree, travelling with such organizer should be much easier. Regarding tape vs binders, I agree. It is a wick part. Binders catch thread sometimes and fly away. For my old organizer I made small holes on the sides and and fixed them with a thick thread. And fixed with type on the back. But still thinking if there is a better way of doing things. Probably, your idea just type it is a brilliant one! Yeah, those bought ones organizers not very chip and you come home with them and find out they are not still ideal 🙀 Anyway. Glad you like it! 🥰 hope it helps you stitch your full coverage designs faster. Happy stitching! 😘💐

Amazing, i have a quick question, how do you return the needle from the back side without needing to see where your needle is going? I always need to flip my cloth or material over around just to see where i am pushing my needle, do you use extra bright lights to shine through the fabric? Thank you (:
@StitchingMasterpieces2 күн бұрын
Hi! I don’t have any other lights exact the main one above the canvas. Probably, I just got used to it. I just punch a needle a little bit through canvas to see where it is. And defence on it current location I move it a little bit to a right direction. I don’t push it very fast until I see it is in a right spot. I would suggest to try it doing without flipping the canvas, but give yourself time to get used to it. For some time your stitching speed will be slower than you have today. Probably it will take a couple days to come to the same time as you have now and one more week to see the significant improvement Happy stitching

I love watching your videos. Thank you for sharing lots of ideas and your masterpieces. What kind of pens do you use in the Aida?
@StitchingMasterpieces3 күн бұрын
Hi! Thank you for the kind words! I use two types of pens: The first one is called “paper mate”. It is erasable pens from a local store. Sometimes I use erasable pens from Aliexpress. They are good enough, but I did not test it for long time to make sure they will not appear back after some time. Both of them disappear after washing with hot water or after ironing. As well I use watercolour pencils. It is the cheapest ones from a dollar store. They disappear after soap cold washing. Whatever I choose I always test them before use to not spoil several years of stitching
@msclara3033 күн бұрын
Thanks again for your quick response. I do not prefer marking in the Aida, but the grid will make it faster and more accurate. Since most of the marks would be hidden by the stitch, I wondered if I could use a watercolor pen instead of a pricy pen. I will try. Just searched: The DMC embroidery pen costs $6.49 per pen, and the Papermate erasable pen costs $3.99 per five. I will also consider the Papermate. Thank you 🎉
@StitchingMasterpieces3 күн бұрын
@msclara303 yeah! I did not try dmc ones. Just don’t feel confident about those markers that some companies offer for hand made. I would say that if we use not reliable pen even if it is covered by stitches, it still can be a problem after some time. Mostly on white colours or faces.I have heard Some low quality inks can appear back after some time. So, watercolour pencil should be one of the safest one. Paper mate I use for 3 years already did not notice any issues with that. But for the most important projects I use awl for gridding. With this one there is no chance it will appear back. Happy stitching! 😘💐

I had seen videos of the same style where all the threads were prepared on a foam pipe cover like you have on your lamp. I think the girl prepared several needles and stuck them in but it takes up space this way because the needles are stuck vertically to the support, if you know what I mean 😉.
