2020 was some dark times, but hell, when the world puts you in a box, it makes you branch out in ways you didn't see coming.. Glad I found this at the end of the tunnel. Was drinking a six pack(or more) on the front porch by myself every night just to get away from family, stress and the endless stream of bullshit on the news. This was my way to get away, to get inside of myself. Depression makes it hard to feel, anxiety makes it hard to live. Thanks for makin me feel somethin, Jimbo. Been a fan of their work since I stayed up too late, too young, just to watch the pilot of Venture Bros. Rest is history. Thank gawd for this shit.

I mean, how do you accept someone into your band without an audition? Joe lied, but he wasn't tested, so it's the freaky guy's fault for just taking his word for it.

So, this was ahead of Adult Swim shorts like "Too many cooks" and "Unedited footage of a bear" or the SNL 80's/90's sticom parodies with Kyle Mooney and Beck Bennett (and Ryan Gosling and Larry David) by around 30 years.

The way it goes into that chorus right there is fucking insane. This version with that intro. Delicious, bro. Just delicious.

I’m supposed to act like they aren’t here, assuming there’s a ‘they’ at all, it may just be my imagination. Whatever it is that’s watching, it’s not human. Unlike little dark eyed Donna, it doesn’t ever blink. What does a Scanner see? Into the head? Down into the heart? Does it see into me? (Into us?) Clearly or darkly? I hope it sees clearly because I can’t, any longer see into myself, I see only murk. I hope for everyone’s sake the Scanners do better, because if the Scanner sees only darkly, the way I do, then I’m cursed. And cursed again, and will only wind up dead this way. Knowing very little, and getting that little fragment wrong too.

These guys deserved WAY more. This band deserves to be on the same level as the Seattle Big 4. Best debut album I've ever heard. Like Soundgarden and Alice In Chains had a love child then abandoned it on the side of the highway. Love these guys \m/

[Verse 1] I was driving in my car Late at night, all alone Then he stopped me, asked me for a ride There you were on your own [Pre-Chorus] Now ask me why do I feel my heart's on fire Ask me, why do I feel this strange desire Ask me, why do I feel like I'm falling Falling? Take me home What a wonderful way to go Take me home What a wonderful way to go [Verse 2] Licking your greasy spoon, jukebox playing my tune Making out in your room, blowing up your balloon Playing you like a bassoon, but if I only knew Where we were driving to, I wouldn't have let you fill my tank I pulled in, to your truck stop and I'm Sleeping on the asphalt Eighteen, wheelin' and siphon gas And I'm feeling you're my big 10-4 [Pre-Chorus] Now ask me why do I feel my heart's on fire Ask me, why do I feel this strange desire Ask me, why do I feel like I'm falling Falling? [Chorus] Take me home What a wonderful way to go Take me home What a wonderful way to go Take me home What a wonderful way to go Take me home What a wonderful way to go Take me home What a wonderful way to go Take me home What a wonderful way to go
