Nice job! I tried to etch something with a salt and vinegar solution and battery charger. Sure didn’t get the same results you did. Is that the same solution you used?

@@kenfochtman8698 thanks for the question. I used salt and vinegar, I used a combo of 9 volt batteries connected… if you see the solution bubbling up, then you know the chemical process is taking place. I did it for about 5 minutes or so. Also, I used vinyl cut decals to get precise designs. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Tacos in Baja. When I surfed down there back in the Sixties and Seventies, two Lobster Tacos and a Corona from the tiny fishing village at K-56 cost less than One Buck. Good memories....BTW, your helmet steady cam is frickin' awesome. 😎

@@wayfaringoverlander Those Lobster tacos back in the day were about one pound each, deep fried like a Taquito. The bar had dirt floor and an old honkytonk piano with no Ivory on the keys. We'd surf all day, then hang at the bar until late at night. Then we would get up and do it again the next day. I went back down there a few years ago, but it was all condos and bling. I didn't even recognize the old surf spots we would camp at. Sigh.....

Does anyone know if the process would be the same for the Badlands Apex 5500? The power lugs come out on the right hand side of them at 3 and 9 o'clock. I've put one on a Yamaha R-Max and the 3 o'clock lug is extremely close to the front bumper

@@heavenleigh111 that’s a good question. I’m sorry I don’t have the answer to that. I basically did exploratory surgery in my winch until I figured it out. You might have to do the same.

@@heavenleigh111 I contacted Badlands and all they could tell me was it is possible to clock the winch, but they were not allowed to tell me how and they said it would void the warranty.

@@wayfaringoverlander Ha! My goodness. Yeah I guess one could mess up the seals. For some unknown reason I didn't buy the extended warranty. Heck mine had already run out before I ever got it mounted. Would've been great for me if the lugs came straight out the end cap so that clocking wouldn't matter at all. At least we know that it is possible now. So if I can just find the time to do it. Thanks a bunch for contacting them. I wasn't able to find any website for them.
