Thank you ever so much for sharing your work. I’ve been terrified of completing the shower pan, as a contractor decided to complete it (without my permission), and screwed it up. A Schluter rep came to my house, which I wasn’t expecting, and provided a replacement shower pan. He told me I had to grind all of the mortar off, to return to the plywood base, after I removed the poorly installed original pan. I can do this! I feel confident now. My husband will be stoked! Thank you, thank you, thank you! ❤

I had to remove a cast iron tub and I broke it up into medium-sized pieces. If you’re going to do it that way and you’re going to break it up in the bathroom make sure you have maximum strength ear protection. Plugs and muffs. It’s got to be louder than gunfire.

Thank you for explaining how to release the pin while the stand is still in dolly mode. I’ve been trying to lift it from off the ground and wasn’t real clear how to press the pin release. It is far more clear when the stand is still in dolly mode to see how that lever works and it’s much easier on my back and shoulders.

I'm not trying to disrespect Milwaukee, but It's a comparison between professional and handyman tools/brands If I'm going to replumb my house, then I can use the DeWalt attachment to get it done, most likely at a fraction of the price. If I was a professional, then the Milwaukee would probably be worth it at whatever astronomical price they're charging. It's Milwaukee, so I'm guessing $200 plus. LOL It is interesting to see the difference of the two though, the Milwaukee is definitely more compact. Thank you for taking the time to do a comparison video.

I have them both and dewalt wins hands down the cut is faster cleaner and easier and it doesn't walk even after alot and i mean alot of use I'm a plumbing and water treatment installer and I put in over 300 cuts a day the Milwaukee is a good tool but the m12 batteries don't last blades don't last and the cut is less stable and takes was too many revoloutions especially with Type L or K and the tool will walk on the pipe and score the pipe and waste time and supplies also like I said it's on the m12 platform for Milwaukee and Dewalt is running 20 volt max batteries and I can run powerstack and flexvolt high capacity batteries on the impact so the battery never goes dead and I have more power to make more cuts faster the reset on the Milwaukee is fast but after getting use to the dewalt forward cut and reset I have no issues at all, changing the different cutting wheels is a little bit of a time killer but to be honest it's no big deal I have a set of handheld quick cutters for those transitions up or down a pipe size and a rigid large pipe cutter for 11/4" and up so no issues there 1 simple convineance doesn't overshadow the clear fact the dewalt cutter is the better quality cutter and the better choice all around and the fact that it's an attachment to a tool and not the tool itself means that if the impact has a problem I just switch the attachment out to another impact or a compact drill and I'm back in business if the Milwaukee breaks I'm hand cutting all day that's a big game changer and not to mention the price the attachment is cheap to replace that Milwaukee cutter is not

I bought the dcs590 but the blade wasn’t square and not lining up with 0 shoe. Was able to make the blade square but seems no way to get it in line with shoe, it’s off by 1/8”. Have seen a lot of complaints about it with previous models, is that just how DEWALT circular saws are?
@toolrev
@toolrev 14 күн бұрын
Just checked and the 590 I have is square between the blade and shoe. If yours is off, or not cutting straight, return it. I'd recommend returning it for a 60 Volt cause the 590 kinda sucks anyway. I'll mention yours is off in my review.

I just recently purchased the m12 PVC cutter and I'm not particularly impressed. It seems to oval abs pipe almost to the point where I don't feel okay using it. 2" is even worse. I did by used so I don't know if that is the problem. I did replace the blade though. awesome idea and is so practical but hasn't been worth it for abs. Have you had this same issue?

I use my ridgid, couldn't live without it, take it everywhere, and it is a beat, my one weighs 43lb, but I always have my little hand truck. I clamp everything in it, including doors. Gates for fences, you name. Best assistant I've ever had. Is it heavy? Yes, does it have quirks, yes, but I've taken care of it and honestly the few times I didn't have it, I kicked myself for the small effort to carry it. It doesn't take up much space either in my van or on or in one of my trailers(though I do keep it near the door). I've never needed it to open wider. Thanks for your thoughts, I do wish it had wheels.
