Curious question. Would pairing an SD16 with an xr 18 result in 34 total inputs and 16 total outputs? I have found a few scenarios with my xr16/xr18 where i needed more aux outputs for fills. I use aux busses for sub grouping to have additional processing (for example inserting a combinator or enhancer on a mix bus in order to process more than 2 sources) and i also use aux fed subs. So i ran out of channels to use for fills and monitors. I am designing an install for a bowling alley and will need to have more than 6 aux outputs to make it all work and am trying to avoid simply adding a 2nd xair to the mix. And if the sd16 does allow for all inputs and outputs to ne used independently, does it also have the same channel strip features as the main mixer?

I just bought a 18i20 3rd Gen to replace my 14 year old 18i8 1st Gen and wow… I absolutely love it. Excellent sound, features and functionality. I’ve paired it with a Behringer ADA8200 for an extra 8 ins of crystal clear light piped sound. My home studio is currently 5 synths plus a drum machine and this combo leaves me room to grow.

"when the listener listens in mono, the music will suffer and start to cancel itself out" is very misleading, specifically with regard to how Wider works. Wider works by creating an artificial "side" channel which is _supposed_ to 100% phase cancel itself without hurting the dry signal. Correlation will go down, but in the case of wider specifically it wont matter because the dry/mid channel stays intact always. (I would still set the low bypass to at least 500hz though, anything below 90hz shouldn't be wide anyways, will just sound weird) haas effect, for example, will also decrease correlation, but in this case it will create an undesired effect, causing a comb filtering effect, removing entire frequency bands. like what you were talking about. Wider specifically _solves_ this problem, its the entire point of the plugin
