Ive just completed a build in 100X50X1.6mm steel that looks uncannily like yours, but then theyre all pretty similar, I guess. Mine is around 9 ft long with a 1:2 ratio in length because I intend to use it with a remote head and full Film Package, so weight is an issue. Even with my long rear section, I will end up with 60-80 kilos on the back. It stands on a purpose built rigid pedestal which can be strapped onto a dolly or skateboard dolly or stand static. I am a total fan of plywood and Im well impressed to see your video. It would be cool to do a load test to destruction, cost being so low n all... see just how much it will carry before it breaks! Full Imax! hahaha. The strength can really all be in the cables if you think about it.

Thought this was gonna be just another DIY jib. Watched a lot of these vids recently as I'm about to make one, but this is SUPER impressive. All the right elements bar the auto pan, but I cant really fault it. Thanks for the inspiration guys.

I'm a Australian. I've got a question about the pvc air horns, I'm going to get a quad bike, would these pvc air horns be ok for the quad bike? The reason for my question is, I live on a farm that has sheep and cattle and I'm looking for a loud train horn to use when rounding up the stock.
