@RaphNogalPhotographyАй бұрын
hey - Thanks for your comment. I'm curious why you chose 600 WS (and not 750 or 1000?)... that's only 100 more than the B10XPlus (500WS). How would that 100 extra benefit you? Im genuinely interested.
@LadyFairChildVideoАй бұрын
@@RaphNogalPhotography 600ws is really beneficial for beating out the sun (more power) , specially if the light has to be further away from the subject- and since you are shooting in midday sun, you can work a little better with high speed sync (more power helps here), and higher f stop, without getting the harsh really black shadows under chin-nose-eyebrows. since with the extra power- you can actually add another diffuser to the softbox/octabox - and get a softer more filled look. 750ws is really rare and is why i don't suggest it, and 1200 is more for extreme conditions where you want to freeze movement in midday sun with the higher shutter speeds.

Will the new connect pro work with all profoto lights or just the newer models? I have B1x, D1, and A10’s. and now just recently purchased some B10x. I own the older remote. Will that still work with newer and older lights or should I upgrade? Thank you!
@RaphNogalPhotography3 ай бұрын
THe new remote will work with all Profoto lights. The only feature that you won't be able to get is the Air2 feature where it shows you the power of the flash right on the remote (this is only available for Bluetooth enabled units), but all other functions will remain the same and working. HOpe that helps.

I already own tons (too much) of Profoto stuff, from an older D4R-2400, Compacts, B2s, and B10s. Not sure where the A2 fits in with me, as I'd still need to bring a stand (or assistant) to use it. Yes, it can be easily held in one hand with the camera in the other--but so can a B10. And if the camera/lens is too unwieldy for single handholding then you're back to using a stand...and back to why not a more capable B2 or B10 at that point? At some point, having increasingly smaller flash heads becomes irrelevant. It's reminiscent of Apple's fixation on _thin_ phones. They eventually became so absorbed in the pursuit of thinness that they lost sight of the bigger issue--phones shouldn't bend under normal use. For location, I'm still a bit partial to the B2 system. It puts the battery and control pack on the ground, with either one or two attached flash heads, each lighter than the A2 and having a total of 250 Ws. I have finally ordered some 3rd party batteries for my B2s that promise twice the energy of the original Profoto-supplied batteries (and at ½ the price!) If they live up to promise, that should give the B2 over 400 full power pops. In use, the B2 is more like a miniature Pro-11 and works with all of Profoto's OCF line of modifiers.

This would be great on an RZ67, assuming you can get one with a properly working wheel.
@eyesonly44519 ай бұрын
But will this new Connect Pro (non-til) fit on the side shoe of an RZ67 without interfering with the focusing knob??? I have the round Connect, and it will physically fit, but it fires twice on the RZ, once at shutter open and then again at shutter close. I have two RZ67 Pro-II bodies and it does this on both. However, an Air Remote (non-TTL) using a hot-shoe to 3.5mm sync cable does *_not_* double fire. I also noticed the Connect Pro apparently does not have any 3.5mm sync ports(?)
@RaphNogalPhotography9 ай бұрын
No idea if it will fit as I don't own that camera... looks like it would clear space for finders and focus/zoom operation of lenses. Correct no 3.5mm sync ports. Interesting why it fires twice. I recommend bringing your camera along to a profoto dealers to test out the features you need to make sure this is a good fit for you.

@RaphNogalPhotography Жыл бұрын
If you are using Sony version A10 and have used flash before on your A1 camera, then your settings should already be set. 2 things i see often, 1. prople foget to turn on "wireless flash ON" in the camera menu, 2. once you put a flash on your camera hotshoe, wiggle it around a bit to make sure all the pins drop and connect... often the flash may not sit correctly, so it will give you manual model flash (middle pin connected) and not other features like TTL/HSS, until all the pins are lined up and connceted. Hope that helps.

Why is it that in 2022 your still dependant on having to put batteries in it?. just have a usb C cable and charge it off a power pack. The price for the remote is already very costly and if they eventually do a battery pack to put in it will involve another cost. Profoto at it's worst just squeeze more money out of the punters.
