Sans never learned how to recover stamina mid fight, but... the saved up MAGIC from the previous timelines in Sans' body caused his body to reflexively recover stamina in order to avoid taking a hit. in other words, in the 1 hour and 30 minutes following the usage of saved magic charge, Sans is effectively the hardest enemy.

8:23 Why must he hurt us this way? So evidently, SOMETHING occurred as some sort of Butterfly Effect that made Frisk non-violent this timeline. Very, very interesting. It's really weird hearing Pap with a non-Skeletor voice, but it really works.

This part happens a bit later on in the comic chronologically but dw! More to come should explain as this segment is within the shelter that sans, toriel and asgore had set up to house the monsters to escape Alphys' current "rampage"

I’m not 100% sure if this video is from the human’s pov, or a different character, but if the human IS good, than I imagine the explanation simply might be because of how different this run is. Most players start Undertale doing the pacifist route, so when presented with essentially an entire new storyline, they decide to start off with a “good” run

If I had to guess based on most of the creator’s other works, this is likely in the Sans Route of Reimagined DustTale, so being “good” is really the only option, as Sans has evacuated almost everyone before the human even awoke, so the human should still be Lv 1, and even if the human found and killed a monster, in the Sans Route, he would immediately know and get them, as they’re already on thin ice. So whether they want to be good or not, they have little to no choice, since theres the LV 99 Alphys, and a Fully Reset Aware Sans (That may or may not have his own buffs), all while being SEVERELY underleveled.
