Press pause when in a race and you can comment in the chat, the game auto drives the car, on a straight you don’t lose time as it keeps it full throttle, if you do it on a twisty part of track it won’t keep race pace

Well I've got a new wheel and gone from BS to AS rated since we last did this. So at least its a bit different for me. But seriously, PD need to sort this out. Clearly zero thought and about 5mins of work went into this one.

@hYpYz haha nothing special. Went from the Thrustmaster T150, which was my very first wheel, to the T300 RS GT. Really happy with it, and I seem to have improved a lot 😊

Our group have built the BMW Mini and the Renault Clio road cars to around GR4 levels. The close racing we have is awesome!

Totally agree with you Womble. I remember the excitement of the very first daily race C of GT7 at Daytona, starting in the dark with the time progression. Apart from the introduction of the occasional longer race, it's been pretty much downhill from there. Your vid just goes to show how creative PD could be, but it's like they dont even care and just put out the same uninspired races week after week. I'm not a fan of wet weather, but it would be cool if 1 out of 5 races was wet or with changing conditions. But anyway, we've bought the game, they've made there money, and we're probably just stuck with what we have. Its a shame!

Yeah the potential that this game has is so under utilised and its just a there waiting to be used...I honestly had a lot of fun doing these races even against the AI...I can only imagine how good it would be to have something similar in sport mode where each race feels completely different to the last one....predictability kills racing

Thank you I appreciate that....yeah im pretty bored as well with sport mode but I actually had a lot of fun making this video. Even doing these races against the AI felt more interesting than a lot if sport mode races.

There are so many good options to use for races that PD refuse to bother with. Doing leagues that run all sorts of different combos shows how simple minded PDs combos are. Their fixation with Gr3 and Gr4 all day every day is actually stagnating the game. GTs variety was to be a point of difference and they are sleeping on it.

Tbh its not the combos that bore me its bad settings but they do repeat combos too much as well given what's in the games....theyvwoukd also be wise to make Gr3 and 4 races select cars because about 75% of them never get used!

Yeah, Boring is probably the wrong word. Stale and repetitive is it most likely. And the terrible BoP meaning there's about 12 or more cars completely incapable of being competitive in ANY combo makes it just feel like a lot of thr combos are played out right now. The extra Gr2 and Gr1 racing right now is at least a change

Great stuff Womble. I am going to try and replicate the one tune of yours that I saw, but this video is incredibly creative. Kudos to you, and I second the idea from one of the commenters that PD should hire you as a consultant, but won't of course. Any chance that we could see the details for the various tunes you have? My partner has an 86 of the same year and model as this, and I've driven in regularly. Lovely little car in real life. EDIT: after watching the whole video, I was reminded of one I saw from another YTuber who bought 16 other cars of the same type and applied different tunes and liveries to what you've done, and raced them all in one race. He virtually had a multiclass race. Of course this could be too complicated for most people, but as you suggest, there are many ways for PD to be more creative.

The most annoying thing is we know these settings are there they are just completely ignored. Even just day to night racing adds variety.

Iv always toyed with the idea of basically setting up my own daily race C and running it all day every 30 mins or maybe 40 mins I just don't think Iv got the clout or community infrastructure to make it work right now plus lobbies can be a bit sketchy as well....I actually like to see Tidgney try it as he could easily fill the grid and get some big names in as well.

What PD needs to do is hire YOU as the track consultant for sport mode daily activity races. Accronymn; TCDAR- Your responsibility is to provide a daily race “”A” to those that are new to race simulation that will encourage them to continue learning the ins and outs of sport mode with BOP on and yes DR/SR. (This is racing) PD can give this combo 50% DR value and 100% SR value. Less than 10 minute race. Next race “B”. Should be BOP with fuel and tire variables with mandatory pit. 10-15 minute race. repairs done in pit for All A, B or C drivers with a safety rating of “S”. Boy will that get people to be safer. And race “C” well, let’s leave it up to Wombleleader. Heck dynamic weather, Tuning, pitting, mandatory tire change, wow, All in 25 minutes or less. We don’t need longer races, most people don’t race once a day they race probably 4- 5 races before they get tired. Now the question is, We need someone to send this video to the right person at PD, with a cc to Sony. And state that if this does not increase playership by 100% go back to the current way then, otherwise the salary compensation should be commensurate with the value increase provided. ;)

Honestly I'd love to get a couple of weeks being in charge of daily races. Id happily do it for free. Tbh there is plenty folk who would help PD with this problem but they are so closed off there impossible to contact....I did try to appeal to them by applying for a job through Sony lol...was only email contact I could find. Iv had a suspicion for ages that a PD employee watches the channel and I believe there is people at the company who understand the issues and want to change things but don't have senior positions where they can influence stuff.

Honestly I want to but unfortunately in my experience it often become problematic quickly. People don't have cars, don't like tracks, don't read the rules etc.

Well its no secret that a lot of players don't like tyrewear, fuel worries and weather etc. They just want to drive as fast as possible but this is why they need to make a daily race D....leave A,B and C to appeal to the more casual player and make D full hardcore mode for those of us that like dynamic.

I did save the replay and the missing time never existed in it. There was a slight stutter then the cars around me just disappeared!!

I quite like this one, two different strategies that are fairly even over a race and come together at the end. Good effort PD 🫡

Yeah its pretty decent as a race settings wise(especially given some recent races) but I would still like a bit more from them....Im actually getting really annoyed at the static weather. Id love to have random conditions and TOD to to keep things fresh as week goes on. I know the reason they don't do it is because it would make TT conditions random as well but it is time we had a 3 min qualifying before daily C...1 lap shootout.

@wombleleaderracing6455 Weather would be nice, given it only exists on a handful of tracks and none of the new ones it seems they have abandoned it already which is a shame. With live qualifying they would need to do it differently to GTWS to make it work without eating too much into the 30 minute slot. 1 lap with a rolling start (no collisions) like F1 would work.

Cant say i noticed anything in my runs temp related plus its medium tyres so they aren't really badly affected by temps until over 100c...Track temp is around 23c so id be surprised if you got them into that window.

Only strategy is dependent upon what car you , some need to change tyres others get away with not changing. And best time is what suits you 1 to 10

Thanks for the video! It was my first EMEA race of the week, so off to a clumsy start 😆 I bumped the Lambo in front of me at turn 1 and wanted to wait without causing a pileup. No tyres and pit around traffic seems to be the one even for me on the pad!

Cockpit view has different physics than others views. I have a replay that I took where I found weird how fast a guy on same car, on a daily race, completely off from the perfect track line, was getting close to me on every corner. So I decided to visualize on replay how fast he was and what he was doing different than me. So I realized that I was always doing a perfect track line, with full throttle early than him and he was still able to get his car getting on high speed early than me, even sliding much more since he was running in the middle of the curbs, without using the whole track. It is unfair at minimum, but makes me even prouder!

I'm not sure it has different physics but id agree that it can feel different in cockpit view....I think you see what the car is doing differently from cockpit view....I just wish PD would catch up with every other racing game on the planet and give us FOV options.

Oh dear, another race C stinker from PD, two in two weeks. They obviously couldn’t care less about putting some thought into the racing anymore, I might give it a try but it’s probably another week off for the Dreamcrusher. Gr 4 around Road Atlanta is fun but no strategy and x1 tyre wear is piss poor. 3.5/10 👎🏻

Meanwhile I did a 45 minute GT3 race on Sim Grid Seasons yesterday - Monza, 10 minute qualifying, variable conditions, mandatory pit stop (tyre change optional), 22 on the grid. Brilliant stuff! Come on over, we need more players.

The mini endurance is decent on simgrids ACC but the rest of it is just as bad as a bad week on GT7 tbh....proving grounds is 30 mins no strat, no tyre or fuel issues.

@ been on both recently, I’d say GT7 is worse (dirtier). Was at Barca yesterday. Passed a guy who was ghosted (he’d been hit). Next corner he came from nowhere and took me out because he thought I’d hit him! That’s never happened to me on Sim Grid. And if it did I could report him and he’d be banned.

Tbh ACC simgrids suffers most if the same issues as GT7 on a bad week. There's nothing appealing about a 30 min sprint race with no strat, tyre or fuel issues to me....I like the mini endurance races but they rarely run from what im seeing.

@wombleleaderracing6455 that's a real shame - seems that there's an appetite for proper sim racing on console, but nobody has quite nailed it yet - PD were so close with the GT Sport multiplayer lobbies! GT7 is badly hamstrung by the 16 car limit and terrible server instability 😔

Yeah the radical with a racing gearbox fitted to get rid of the double shift thing and enough tyrewear to have an impact over last few laps would have been nice.
